Very funny in that "reality ensures" way! I especially enjoyed the Sweet drabble and the SGC one. Although *ouch* that Dawn couldn't even get a Council job. Nice work and a lot of fun. :)

I was cheating a little to make a point, but it was a lot of fun to write. I think the Sweet one is my favourite too.

LOL this is pretty funny. Now not to critise or anything but Dawn does have all her important documents (birth certificate, school records, medical records, etc). When the monks made her reality got warped. I had to put that in because i find it useful when people tell me things i missed.

She had them in Sunnydale - for story purposes I'm assuming the effect of the spell was relatively local. I agree it's more likely they changed things right back to her birth, and world-wide, but we just don't know.

They are soo deliciously true. As somebody looking for a job at the moment- you really should write the rejection letters, they are perfect and nicer than some real ones.
It always bothers me when any of the Scoobies gets a classified job- the background checks are hell-ish and none of them really have the background that would work- except with some major life and character changing magics.
Fun to read.

Yup - if I read the real NCIS web site correctly it takes more than a year to become an NCIS agent, from first application to finishing the preliminary training courses. Then you have a series of probationary jobs and a lot more training before you get made a full Special Agent. It's pretty much the same for the FBI, CIA, etc.
Some stories handle this more or less realistically. The ones that annoy me are the ones where someone uses the "Gibbs is my dad" card or equivalent to become an agent more or less overnight.

Not sure if all these rejections are in the same 'verse or not, but if they are, I feel a little conflicted. Part of me wants to feel bad for her 'cause that many rejections - especially the Watcher one - would have to sting a bit. The other part...and I'll admit the larger part, is laughing my head off.

I wasn't thinking of them as necessarily the same 'verse, the two NCIS ones don't quite work together, for example, but you can think of them that way if you like.
I liked all of these, but I think the last one was the best. Dawn accidently turning herself back into the Key (and a source of power to trigger a McKay nerdgasm) was hilarious.
