Review of chapter "Sentinel, Meet Guide" from LMiC
Review:
Gut reaction to the cliffy at the end... O_O "Oh crap..."
Comments from author:
Yeah, it definitely doesn't look good from this angle, does it.

All I'ma say, is remember ... Jim is a fully functional Sentinel.

Review:
Ok, I did not predict that you'd bring in the SG1 team. That kinda has me on tenterhooks now. Can't wait to see what happens. Especially can't wait to find out if Jon got his explanation before SG1 came barging in.
Comments from author:
I've always intended for SG-1 to be involved, if only occasionally as backup and a source of hardware, in the fic. You'll see how much if any of the explanation Jon got in the next chapter. *snicker* it's going to be a fun one.

Review:
i am so glad you are back! i have missed this so much. *hands you scones*
Comments from author:
*laughs* I am so sorry for the long silence. My only excuse is that Harry Potter decided to eat my brain for a while, ad I've now got several stories in that fandom up at ff.net, under this same username. There will be a new chappie of this sometime either late this week or early next, depending on how well my muses cooperate.

Review of chapter "Vampires and Sentinels" from Rod
Review:
Yay! Most of what I wanted to say (all the positive stuff, damn it!) has already been said by other people. I have one nit to pick, however: Sir Burton. Sorry, but no. Honorifics rarely go with surnames, "Lord Such-and-Such" being the obvious exception, and in particular "Sir" always goes with a forename. It would be "Sir Richard", except that's a bit familiar in context. On the whole Giles is more likely to just refer to him as "Burton" here.

Review:
welcome back! lol, jim and angel instinctively duking it out. I'm worried about John. Sure things are going to change soon but Xander is still in washington and John's in Colorado. Ah, well, i'm sure you have some type of plan.

Review of chapter "Vampires and Sentinels" from kayron
Review:
The waiting is almost over. Soon. Is Xander going to be Jon ONeill's guide? It seemed like Jon was having senses issues. I'm wondering how they will even meet.
Comments from author:
Ding Ding Ding! We have a winnah! Yep, you got it. Xander is Jon's Guide. As for how they'll meet ... well, all I'ma say is that it wasn't mere coincidence that put Blair in Cascade when Jim needed him the most ... and something similar will happen with Xander and Jon. *grin*

Review of chapter "Vampires and Sentinels" from (Current Donor)jcon
Review:
This is really interesting. Well written; especially the scene between Jim & Angel. Definitely make me laugh to read those two going head to head. The story is coming along well & I look forward to reading more of it. Thankyou.
Comments from author:
I know I had fun writing the bit with Jim and Angel *grin*. It wouldn't have been quite so hairy if Jim hadn't essentially been getting tossed in the deep end, but hey.

Review of chapter "Vampires and Sentinels" from VillageOrchid
Review:
Well, if being on the hellmouth isn't too intense for a Sentinel, I'd say you plan to have Jon eventually go back to Sunnydale with Xander. But somehow, I'm not sure if that would work. He'd be like Connor on crack there.
Comments from author:
That's exactly what's going to happen. Jon has one huge advantage that Jim doesn't. Weird shit is OLD hat to him at this point. He's far, far, far more adaptable than Jim can ever be. That's part of why Jim reacted so strongly to Angel ... he does NOT tolerate weird crap at all well (just watch the show if you don't believe me *snerk*). Jon will need a bit of time to adapt, because the Hellmouth *is* going to be hard on the senses, but he won't be spazzing about demons and spirit animals and fighting Xander (and Blair, who will be teaching Xander) every inch of the way.

YES! New chapter! *dances* Can't wait to see what Jon's spirit guide is or how he and Xander meet, or some of the training Jim puts Xander through.

WOOT! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More Please SOON!

Sooner than the last one please!
Comments from author:
Never fear. I'm back to writing this. Also, an edited version of the first nine chapters is up on ff.net, if you're interested. I haven't changed much, just added bits and pieces here and there, and clarified a thing or two.

Review of chapter "Arrangements are Made" from TheologyDiscography
Review:
Aww. That's completely adorable. I must say, Jim and Blair are taking this really well, their own oddness aside. I'm a bit confused on how you're fitting Jon O'Neil into this, but I have faith (hehe) that it will be explained in due time.

When I first started reading, I didn't realize that it started so early in the series, before everything happened with Angel and all. There really isn't much identifying it until several chapters in. Not a complaint so much as an observation.

All in all, excellent start, and the storyline has a feel of definite plot to it, so I'm sure it will continue to be good.
Comments from author:
You'll see how Jon (and the rest of SG-1) gets worked in in a few chapters ... I'm restarting work on this fic after a long hiatus on it. *grin*
