Even though he likes to 'play dumb' and let Sam do most of the research and such, Dean is a pretty smart guy when it comes to the supernatural. He should be able to figure out Ethan fairly quickly and probably be able to intimidate the man into breaking the spell. I'm wondering what will happen when the spell breaks. Dean is nine years in the past. Will Halloween have an effect on him and the fight against the YED? Xander might retain the knowledge of how to physically fight and how to use modern weapons, but I don't think that it will give him a major advantage. On the hellmouth they don't fight possession demons. They fight solid corporeal demons. Usually the evil on the hellmouth is fought with stakes, swords and magic. I don't see how Dean's knowledge is going to bolster Xander a great deal, but maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah your right about Dean, I was trying to go for him being smart about the supernatural. You'll have to wait and see what I have in store, in the mean time I suggest you go re-read the prologue as most of your questions about how my crossover will work is explained in that.

I'm glad that you added more to this story. I was a bit put off by it at first and couldn't figure out why. After reading this chapter though, it went away and I'm glad for it. Seeing a Dean laden personality shift will be interesting to say the least, especially if the Colt happens to stick around. Glad to see more of this and hope that there is more to come soon.

Okay. Janus, A.K.A. The Mayor, (or is it the Trickster, or are they one and the same?) made Xander into a Hunter. Dean Winchester specifically. Typical Halloween chaos. Okay. But what was this about Xander being a demon?! HUH?! What is up with that?!
Comments from author:
He's not a demon. But I figured that's what Dean's reaction would be if he was told he was possessing someone. Hope that clears it up.

great job, and cant wait for more. But I dont think Dean would be checking out a underage girl. I mean hes what 25 26 years old and will was just about 16 17?

At the risk of sounding like a geek, but I've just finished watching season four. In the episode It's the great pumpkin, Sam Whinchester, Sam has to remind Dean that a cheerleader is jail bate. Sure she ends up being a 600 year old witch, but that's not the point. Besides he was only looking, no harm in that. Plus this is Dean, and he's suddenly inside the body of a teenager. Even with an adult mind there's still a lot of hormones.

Good story so far. And no your not giving Janus too much power, because while he might be mainly recognized as a trickster god he's also the god of doors (passages/gateways), change and chaos. Chaos in and of itself is a universal force, without it creation would stagnate and die. Just because we dont see Janus carrying out plots and plans people forget that he doesnt need to, chaos always happens.
