Review of chapter "Peanut Butter - day three" from Odin
Review:
This is a great start. So many possibilities. I was a little surprised about the gate coming up so quickly, but I can hardly wait to read about Dawn's reaction. Three truck loads of files also should contain some interesting surprises, depending on how much is redacted. Thanks for the story, I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

I can't wait to read about Sam's surprise when she realizes that Buffy is in the files they're getting, or will those files be so redacted as to be virtually useless?

Review:
I really like the idea of Dawn and Jack as silence-loving fishing buddies.

Glad to see more of this. I thought Jack's pond didn't have any fish. Did they go to one closer that had fish - for a day trip?
Comments from author:
Dawn picked the fishing spot.

In second review of this chapter, I realize that Jack actually had to censor himself from saying, "Space Monkey," as it might engender too many of the wrong questions.

well, at least Sam's civilian life isn't as dangerous as Buffy's. Still can get dangerous, though. So, will Dawn's life intersect with the SGC stuff at any time? She was a ball of glowing energy once. Maybe an Ascended?

Dawn and fishing? Heh. I wonder how the family will react if/when Buffy will come back.

Review of chapter "Day 2" from Rich
Review:
Three truckloads of files will almost certainly contain info on the Initiative, and therefore on Buffy's real job; this should get interesting. On another note - the Carters aren't well-endowed ? Have you SEEN Amanda Tapping ?
Comments from author:
I don't really make a habit of watching women's boobs, lol! But, if you need a reason, pretend Sam is an exception and Dawn is a bit bigger, or at least displaying them in a way that they look bigger.

Review:
So.... Dawn is from the IWRY episode, taken by the monks then aged up, or something weird like that? And Angel refuses to realize it? That's different.
And Willow wasn't able to repair the Buffybot in time to keep Buffy's death a secret? Will W. go ahead and resurrect B ?
Spike will likely show up at some time, the promise he made was to protect Dawn not "continue my work as a slayer" or whatever...
Comments from author:
Oh my god...you're the first person to get it. You get a cookie!

Oh, and Halfrek Episode got bumped up. There's a comment reply explaining a bit of it somewhere. Go you!

Review of chapter "Day 2" from Gideon
Review:
It is nice to know that Dawn at least has someone to grieve with her now and that Sam is able to make that connection at least, even if she doesn't really know what is going on. It also makes sense that people outside Sunnydale would be notified of Buffy's death unlike in canon where it seems none ever found out she was dead. That will cause some problems when Buffy is brought back :)
I am a bit surprised that they are considering showing her the gate though, none else's family gets to know about the gate, why is Dawn so special? Are they going to try to hire a high school age girl as a linguistics expert?
And where is Spike? He promised to look after Dawn, so is her now travelling to Colorado to meet up with her?
Comments from author:
Spike is a secret ^_^

But, when you think about it, all of Dawn's family is involved with the gate. There's really no way they could keep it from her. Especially since Jacob is technically Dawn's primary guardian. But that will come in later.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from VillageOrchid
Review:
A little confused about the timeline, but some nice character moments.
Did Dawn "wish" to Halfrek that there never was a Buffy-bot? Is that why Hallie has the internal monolog about it?
Comments from author:
We're pretending that the Halfrek episode happened before Buffy jumped. And because that case wasn't really resolved, Halfrek came back when Buffy died and put her with someone who would actually pull a trigger to keep Dawn safe.
