Good chapter. I haven't watched Criminal Minds regularly enough to have a timeline or much personal knowledge about Hotch - but I do like the actor and the character holding back his own personal darkness as he investigates that of others.

Agreed. Hotch is a great character, and the actor does a wonderful job portraying him.

In the first season, Hotch's birthday is shown to be in early November. And he was a senior in 1987, so I'm going with that for his age, regardless of any information that is given out later.

I had thought most of this story would be about Andrew's new childhood. I'm glad to see some forward motion, though... though a six year engagement must have been intense. I guess they wanted to finish their degree study work first? And what of romances for the older Scoobies? Anything?

Childhood details are coming. This just seemed like the best place to start. Yes... they wanted to finish their degrees...

The older Scoobies will meet their love interests (assuming they have them) in time. That's for a different story entirely.
