A good chapter, but a little hard to follow. Also, I don't think "abhoring life" is quite the phrase you were looking for. Overall, however, a good effort.

And for pairing I would love to see Buffy/Cameron or Buffy/Graham. There are not much stories with Cameron/Buffy or Graham/Buffy and those two are really cute, good looking and don't forget nice. They have both strong personalities who won't mind that Buffy is stronger. So Buffy is becomming the head of the council and Giles will running it. It fits that way because the Watcher are there to guide and help the Slayer and not see them only as weapons. I'm curious will Buffy discover more powers because she already altered her other ones and you would think that she will get some more now she is the head off the line or stands above the line. It only seems logical because she will need them because there will be always Slayers who will abuse their powers and Buffy has to bind them or worse take their powers away, when needed. and Willow is not the one who should get that power because if she can every witch/wicca can do it. She could only do the spell through the Scythed Buffy is the holder of the Scythe. the Scythe chose Buffy as keeper. She is also the only one who has the right and should get the power and the knowledge to do it. oh and before I forget, will Buffy unknowingly get the knowledge of more old languages. that would be funny, she will hate it.

A couple of points:
Why does there have to be a pairing at all?
I think the vast majority of these stories would a hell of a lot more interesting if there wasn't that kind of nonsense cluttering up the works, mostly because the characters could then be true to themselves, without having them jumping though all sorts of hoops in order to get them "interested" in people they normally wouldn't have anything to do with.
And this really,really applies to the vast majority of the SGC/Buffy pairings.
As for Willow not being the one who should get that power because if she can every witch/wicca can do it, again wrong.
If the Scythe picked Buffy as keeper, it also chose to permit Willow to perform the spell that actived the Slayers.
In other words, the Scythe selected Willow just as much as it did Buffy to protect the Slayer line from the threats against it.
