Review of chapter "A Different Perspective" from Piterio
It's nice the origin is a bit far-fetched but I love the story itself.

Review of chapter "Tragedy, Training and a New Mission" from agnar
The writing and Xander's powers/background are all good. But I just cannot stand the complete piece of shit plotline that is 'M-Day'. It's truly one of the worst pieces of crap to come from Marvel, which is saying a lot considering some of their other blunders and fuck ups.
I can't bring myself to read fics set in the post 'M-Day' plot arc I'm afraid, no matter how good the writing otherwise may be. Good luck anyway though.

This has been pretty interesting so far, I think more so because I have had only a little exposure to the marvel universe.

Review of chapter "Tragedy, Training and a New Mission" from Chikageko
Josh foaley has shown several times, even in his character introduction arc, to be capable of manipulating biology even on an advanced genetic level, giving himself extra secondary mutations twice, taking away people's power and restoring failing and destabilizing powers.
If he had half a brain, or his instructors did, training him to develop this ability could give their population a serious boost. Rewriting inconvenient power like cessley, rogue or that crab boy, giving people extra complimentary powers, removing powers from dangerous enemies and giving powers to worthy causes and allies and punishing bigots like he used to be.
Either way, I hope Xander and Laura manage to take down the brotherhood before it really gets going this time around.
Edit 1: he's done it half a dozen times instinctually, it can't be that hard, what with all of they telepaths they've got running around, to figure out what triggers this. As for getting test subjects and practice, there's plenty of mutants, even at Xavier's, who would have been quite happy to risk their lives to a chance and losing their mutations or trading them for something better. Every time somebody has come by peddling a cure of one sort or another at least a quarter of the school lines up for it each arc no matter whether or how it works. They know Foaly can do stuff to the mutant and genetically based meta-humans because it caused a big discussion in the staff each time it came up and teaching it would be much like any other thing McCoy had done teaching him how to better heal rather than brute-forcing it. The difference this time is he'd be teaching the kind about one of his passions, genetics, rather than anatomy.
Comments from author:
The problem with teaching Josh to control his powers is, well, nobody knows how. I mean, the control he has over biological matter is incredible, but nobody else has had that power before, and learning through trial and error would be a very dangerous way to go about it, so instead the X-men just focus on what they can teach (which would be how to heal), while they look into how they might be able to expand on the use of Josh's powers.
Edit: Some mutants may have been lining up around the block for a chance to get rid of their mutations, but considering how badly it could've gone wrong there's not a chance in hell that the X-men would allow him to try it, and I kind of doubt that Josh himself would be willing to risk it.

Ahh, my 12th read through. Still excellent every time. But it's missing something....what is it missing...OH! A new chapter! THAT's what it's missing!
You do good work my friend, now just do more of it :)
Please. I need to see Xander and Cessily start an awkward yet adorable mutant romance, stat!

Review of chapter "A Different Perspective" from Freiheit
Just finished your chapters and I am not sure of the way you are doing Xander. I keep thinking that Xander would have never allowed the non-mutant children to be kicked out of the school. If they wanted to go but not just being kicked out. Yet the next chapter of Xander going out to hunt the Purifiers I found was really close.
So far an interesting take on Xander in the Marvel Universe. Please keep writing, I would like to see where you are going with this.
Comments from author:
Ah, well, that's the thing. Xander might object to it, but he has no authority in the X-Mansion and he's only been there for a few days at that point, so he gets absolutely zero input when it comes to sending the depowered kids away for their own protection.
