God Damn It Faith, you signed without reading, you do not do that, ever!!!. She's gonna rue the day when Tony ask her for something back in exchange for his help, and knowing how much of a creep he was at this time... Darn it Faith =(. Cool chapter, see ya!!!.

Review:
You probably don't want to bother, but could there be duplicates on this world? Another Faith, another Buffy, etc? Just wondering. "Buffy Summers" --there can't be a lot of people with that name. On who took her, given their resources, Clay should be able to figure out who was on the team (at least the famous ones like Sabretooth) and maybe who hired them. Except if they 're mercs, could have been anyone. Meanwhile, more and more, one has to wonder what happened to Willow. If she was alive and free, she'd be following events & would have heard about Faith's misadventures & capture (from the internet/libraries etc). But no phone calls. That's not good. Too bad, she's actually quite powerful even in Marvel terms. Meanwhile Sabretooth is a prisoner back in slayer-verse. Have to figure at some point someone's going to question him, then try to send more slayers through to help search? If they have a magic user who can manage it, of course. I could see Spike or Angel wanting to try. $500 an hour? I'm sure she could charge more. Good idea not to mention it on Faith's part. She's so diplomatic as she gets older.
Comments from author:
Still not going to comment on future events, other than to say Buffy and Willow parts are coming. We're still in the earlier parts of the overall story. Re: Faith being diplomatic. I've had an internal debate as I wrote various scenes (including this one), how much has Faith matured in the years since the end of BtVS? We'd already saw improvements when she reappeared at the end of season 7, and I've figured that she's continued to mature. There's still a core of over-confident scrapper in her personality, but she's learned to leash it when needed.

"Ares had driven hard" - this is an awesome bit of innuendo. Anyway, interesting chapter. Wonder what Faith'll do with Reed. Probably he'll check out her powers and stuff. It'll be interesting to compare her with the Marvel World, but it's valuable info given away. I also worry about what she reveals and signs in this chapter. I have no doubt those things she read have all kinds of clauses that will make arresting her easy if she does something wrong. At least she's kept Willow hidden. Of course, we still don't know what's with Willow. So again, I guess it's wait and see.

Fantastic fight scenes. The people whispering over the shield in the bag was a nice touch.

I'm itchin' to know what is going on with Buffy and Willow. Perhaps Willow floated to the ground or not... I don't read the marvel stories so the identities of all the players hinted and shown in these chapters being introduced for the first time. I'm still eating this up with gusto.
Comments from author:
Glad you liked it and are following okay. I've tried to make it accessible to non-Marvel readers, but it's sometimes hard to tell how much Marvel background I need to give: e.g, everyone knows who Iron Man and Wolverine are. Right? Wrong? Anyways, I'd love any feedback if you feel some Marvel parts ever get confusing.

This story is a lot of fun--I love your Faith. She sure doesn't take any nonsense lying down. The Marvel universe really is a mess, and Faith is going to have her work cut out for her.
In terms of specific things I thought were well done: I loved Victor Creed vs. Various Slayers; Faith's wonderfully creepy Slayer dream; the four pillars of Internet Popularity; and Faith's reaction to Tony Stark threatening prison.
Can't wait to see what happens next!

Review:
That was a great interpretation of Tony Stark. Sentry (hadn't heard of him before had to check the wiki. Wow!) . At least Faith actually talked instead of fighting, amazing self restraint. The Sentry. That makes her prophetic dream very... interesting. The mystery of what happened to Willow. Maybe her powers don't work in this dimension? Maybe they're much more powerful? Something has sure gone wrong for her. Maybe she wound up in the past? Anyway-Faith and Ares. Perfect together. A slayer as an avatar of a god, I like that. Faith really needs to talk to Dr. Strange, he could probably locate Buffy (fellow avatar and all that) or Willow.

Review:
Excellent story. I'm really enjoying this. I like how Faith is dealing. It's not classic, it's not wise, but considering what she'll need to do in this world (based on her dream) it's probably a good idea to get some experience with who she's dealing and how they fight. The Sentinel. Right. He is scary, and the Void is real. But what can Faith do to it? See, that worries me. What if it takes control of Faith or Willow? They need to get rid of it. And I doubt Emma and Scott will be around to handle that problem in this universe. Actually, that's a main issue. How close are they to the war erupting again? Is the Secret Invasion in process? Are they going to get dragged into an inter-galactic trans-dimensional war? Meanwhile, for the immediate, it's good that Faith's already found somebody she can understood and use, and I can't wait to see how her relationship with Ares develops. Until then, being in New York will probably make her easier to find, if not contact. Still, I wonder when we'll get to the others. I was sure that after the cliffhanger, we would have a scene change, but I guess not. We'll have to wait and see, I suppose. Buffy may not be so useful - she's been captured, and in this world, that may not be so easy to escape from. But Willow - int his world, her alone is dangerous. She's amazingly powerful. And all she needs to do is fight somebody with mystic powers, whether godly and magical, and decide she has to have them. We've seen Willow defeat (or banish - Osiris) gods. What could she do with more power? Of course, she's less likely to get into trouble, both from natural inclination and because of her powers. She could brainwash people to give her stuff. But I really can't wait to see how Willow handles herself in a crisis. Keep it up!
Comments from author:
Re: Secret Invasion and timeline. We're in a rather undefined time between the Civil War and Secret Invasion stories, but we're certainly closer to post-Civil War than pre-Secret Invasion. Astute Marvel readers could point out that "character X wasn't on team Y at the same time that Z was alive on another team," so perhaps you could say we're going AU immediately after Civil War.
Thanks for the review.

This was my favorite chapter yet, mostly because such a fun and smart portrayal of one Tony Stark, and especially the bit about spotting visitors from other dimensions. Priceless. More experienced heroes should have that kind of thing figured out, really. :)
