Review of chapter "an introduction to the new world..." from Bobboky
Review:
awesome... I have often thought of Xander as a martial rogue myself (gains fighter feats instead of a sneak attack)
Comments from author:
he still has some sneak attack (That was one of his strong points in early seasons) but he will definitely be more of a thug rogue than a rat rogue... I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

Hmm, you didn't take the club? Was it too distinctive? No updates to Big Brother? Is the settings D&D, Forgotten Realms or Pathfinder?
Comments from author:
didn't manage to find one, Xander started off with NOTHING... everything he had was lost to the sisterhood and the ocean deep...

as for the setting, D&D 3.5 with some minor house rules...

I love that you are letting the dice dictate the story line anything could happen which will keep the story original good job.
Comments from author:
it does... it also complicates things quite a bit, i'm glad you enjoyed the story.

Review of chapter "an introduction to the new world..." from Gideon
Review:
I see Xander has had some luck to complete his first kill so quickly. I wonder if he will search for the Orc's home to get additional loot. The actual rolling of dice to progress the story is a great idea. I just hope you are better at it than I am. If I was playing Xander he would be dead very soon :(
Comments from author:
he still isn't in the D&D LOOT!!!!! Mindset... at the moment he is still in the Buffy 'Kill the badguys and then go home' mindset... don't worry that will change soon enough.

Review of chapter "an introduction to the new world..." from FariaLyton
Review:
As much as I enjoyed this story, I think Xander really is more of a Bard. Lifting allies spirits and all that...
Comments from author:
later seasons i could see it more... early seasons one through three... not so much, mostly it was sneaky sneaky and a bit of backstabbery.

Review of chapter "an introduction to the new world..." from WolfWriter
Review:
Rogues are pretty fun to be around. Whenever I read about a roguish character, I think of Autolycus from the Hercules series. Bruce Campbell did an excellent job of playing The King of Thieves and Rogues.

Okay, he was a pain in the patootie as well, but he was never malicious, mean or nasty.

I'm going to track this story, just to see what else you put poor Xander through.
Comments from author:
if he goes down the swashbuckler path Xander might actually turn into the 'King of Thieves' type rogue... he has the right character for it so it is definitely a possibility.

I love the idea of a story where the random element are determined by actual D&d rules. That's great. I hope you'll continue it.
Comments from author:
I probably will, thanks for the great review.

Review:
I actually expected Xander to fight a bit more against Hroald but the sneak attack rolled a critical and Hroald missed his Fortitude Check.

In that case... sucks to be Hroald.

Any chance on getting Xanders Statistics?

Nice, very nice! I enjoy a Xander in DnD setting and the fact that your actually rolling this out is a neat quirk. Keep up the good work!

Review:
Liking the idea, especially if events will be dictated by chance helping to surprise the author.

Plus I've been in a bit of a D&D sort of mood so this is nicely helping with that.
Comments from author:
Thanks, yes the events are randomized and so are how the events play out, have fun with the D&D bug... it bites worse than a Gnoll.

Very nice start.

I look forward to reading Xanders future adventures.

Btw, will the islanders ever learn of what Xander did for them?
Comments from author:
it depends on how and who he interacts with and how he rolls.
