Review of chapter "Please don't magic me..." from Orchamus
Review:
Now this is far more like Raistlin than Xander. But then, Xander was always a somewhat sarcastic, bitter person, it just wasn't quite as harsh. Now, with his circumstances and bits of Raistlin likely influencing him, it seems we shall see the darker side of Alexander far more often. Great chapter, I hope for more soon!!
Comments from author:
Xander is going to have a harder time deciding who he is. He's trapped in between, unable to go backwards and at least partially unwilling to go forwards. Raistlin's bitterness is rubbing off on Xander, but that won't be the only influence.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Review of chapter "Please don't magic me..." from Gulanticus
Review:
It has been a while since I have read a book from the Dragonlance series. I seem to remember that the wizard was able to cure himself....I think in the same book that the dwarf died. If I'm not incorrect, will you be bringing Xander to full health?
Comments from author:
Yeah, Raistlin did get a bit better in Dragons of Spring Dawning, but that was when he completely gave himself to the Black Robes. He made his choice and abandoned all connections he had with his family save for an occasional meeting with his older sister. Xander just wouldn't be willing to give everything up unless he had some serious personality changes.

Review of chapter "Please don't magic me..." from Riniko
Review:
Wonder if there is anything that Xander can take, like a potion, that would help with his health even if it was a daily requirement and did not counter all of the problems. He is in a very bad place for someone with his physical weaknesses to live for long.
Comments from author:
There is a combination of herbs that helps Raistlin, but it'll be a while before Xander is able to find them.

Thanks for reading!

Review of chapter "There's no such thing as Hourglass Eyes" from srb
Review:
I have played mages in an RPG and I just wanted to sugest the spell 'Protection from Undead' on public places like the school or just the library, it can also be cast on a person or item and usually has a range of 10 feet that the undea can't enter. Also, a Girdle of Pouches is a mages best friend. It's a bunch of Bags of Holding sewn into a belt and it can hold a LOT. Mabey Xander can cast Deep Pocket on some cargo pants to get a similer effect. I love your story so far please write more soon.
Comments from author:
Well, there's a problem with that. I'm going by 2nd edition rules for what was in Raistlin's spellbook at level 6 as a limiter. Xander isn't starting that high powered, but that's the upper level of what he's got written down in his book, with a few others from Fistandantalis and Fizban. Well, just one from Fizban, really. Eventually Xander might be able to develop the spell, but it won't be right off.

Magic items are going to be rare, very rare. I've had too many GMs who hand them out like candy on Halloween and that just doesn't fit in Buffy. And Raistlin wasn't known for his ability to enchant magic items so it's quite doubtful that Xander will be making too many of them. He might brew up a potion or two, but not too much beyond that except for things which advance the plot.

Review of chapter "There's no such thing as Hourglass Eyes" from Selias
Review:
I have to admit that this looks like it's going to be pretty interesting. Xander usually gets a costume that that gives him tons of good effects when it sticks and no bad effects. It'll be interesting to read about something that gives him magic AND a weak body for once.
Comments from author:
Yeah, I didn't want to go the "free cookie" route. Now he needs to work for his power. He will probably never be the same as in the series, but that doesn't mean he won't still have the key parts of being Xander. I hope it will stay interesting for people.

Thanks for reading!

Excellent. You have inspired me to reread some Dragonlance. I very much look forward to more of this story.

Oo! I think I've succeeded then. Any time I can inspire someone to reread them or read them for the first time I consider a win.

Review of chapter "There's no such thing as Hourglass Eyes" from annararen
Review:
Will Xander be able/willing to learn other types of magic, like the ones commonly present in the Buffy-Verse?

Or.. could he teach his style of magic to others?

Can't wait to read about the interactions between Xander and the rest of the world :)

Thank you for writing and sharing!
Comments from author:
Xander will be focusing in Raistlin's magic, but that doesn't mean he can't adapt normal spells to work his way.

Thanks for reading!
