A new and promising LOTR crossover! It has been a while since someone started one of those. Don't worry about this being AU after Chosen, I believe there's a unspoken rule somewhere that says that Season 8 doesn't exist.

Also, I have to admit, I haven't read the Silmarillion in years, which is why I'm going to try to keep this in the LotR trilogy time as much as possible. But seriously, that book is daunting!

Buffy getting the amulet from the Guardian and it being a Silmaril makes a lot more sense to me than getting it from Angel, who got it from Wolfram & Hart.
I'm guessing that the amulet sent Buffy to the LotR 'verse. Wonder what time period she'll end up in. Should be interesting to seeing how she reacts to everything with amnesia.

Right? That part was always a little too deus ex machina for my own liking. But then that's the beauty of fanfic! :)
The next chapter will give some clues as to where and when she landed. And yeah, amnesia is definitely not going to make things easy for Buffy -- but then, nothing's ever easy for her...

I really look forward to see where you're going to go with this story. I love stories about Buffy in Middle Earth. I wonder when she'll get her memories back. Will Willow try something, I mean she did get swallowed by the mouth of hell, but on the other hand, they tried that before and it didn't work out so well.
Can't wait to see with what group she ends up with, will it be Hobbits? Elves? Humans? Or maybe even Dwarves? Ooh, maybe one of the Wizards.
