Nice way to deal with both exposition and character.

Review of chapter "Meetings" from DieselDriver
Review:
All the beautiful C-141's have been retired as far as I know and the ungainly looking UGLY C-17 has taken their place.

"Call me Joe" was the title of a short novella I think by Poul Anderson about a crippled scientist who is using a mental contact machine to inhabit an artificial body used to explore Jupiter. Very old, I suspect it's the prototype for the movie "Avatar".

Oh, I thought this sounded familiar. I've read it it before.

Review:
Never watched the movie andromeda strain, not a clue who Joe Ledger is, watched a couple of episodes of 24 then quit, never even heard of 11th hour. Oh, forgot to mention read the book Andromeda Strain when I was about 16, 50 years ago. I think it was one of the first paperbacks of it. Made the horrible mistake of selling all my books and comics when I joined the chair farce, er, Air Force in 1969.

Ok, you pretty much got me on that one. I finally know who Dutch is. He's the Governator, er, former governator of the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia.

Review:
There's a fun science fiction story written by Poul Anderson called "Call Me Joe" that just might be a inspiration for the movie "Avatar".

Weird monster. Wonder who the kid was and just what they did to him.

That was totally BADASS!! You know i never give out 10s, so consider yourself seriously honored.

When the dead got theirs back, I just cheered. Actually cheered. That was... Yummy!

And thanks for bringin' my boy Ethan into the fray. He's so very fray worthy and I love it when he is part of things!

Now, maybe i can get some writing done!

Sigh.

Peace,

Blue

Review of chapter "AAR" from annararen
Review:
Re-read this after I finished the current Joe Ledger novels, and I got more than a smile in return. Fun read this one.

At least in this world, the evenst of the forth novel would be completly different, seeing as vampires truly exists, and they do have a paranormal origin, and they aren't some genetic offshots.

Are there any plans in the future to inlcude more of Joe's plot points into the oveall story line?

Thank you for writing and sharing!

Review of chapter "Coming Clean" from unicornzvi
Review:
I kept reading this series hoping there'd be more of the quality I saw in the first story, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.

Edit: The first story had a plausible sounding scenario with characters that spoke and acted (for the most part) like I'd expect real people to do in that situation, subsequent stories had ridiculously unbelievable scenarios and the characters talked like their canon selves even when that didn't fit the new setting. The later was especially true with Buffy.

Review of chapter "AAR" from SlowMercury
Review:
That story was *great* fun! The dialogue was spot on, even Pazuzu, who was not at all what I was expecting from a Mesopotamian demon-god but was somehow perfectly appropriate anyway.

Particular touches I liked include: Buffy's style of leadership, debriefing and Q&A (banning "are you serious" and "this is crazy"); Ethan's twisty plotting; the zombie home team vs. the zombie away team; and Regan and Giles being there in the clinch to ask an Ancient God the tough questions. Did Giles manage to keep the notes? They'd be great for posterity, even if they'd never get published in academia. ("So what's your source for this?" "Uh...") And perhaps the WCI will want to recruit Regan now, since they've learned she's a bookish type with mystical experience, and Regan might be at loose ends now since her dig got shot up.

Awesome story in a wonderful series.

Review of chapter "AAR" from Gideon
Review:
So the Hero of this story was Ethan all along? Well done to Buffy and Faith though, using all the resources available to them and then some. Stopping a godling in his tracks is not an easy task. At least Buffy's next mission should be easier, right?

Review of chapter "AAR" from ShyBob
Review:
"I can recognize apocalyptic terminology in forty languages" is a great line, even though your version of Buffy is sharp enough to scare me a little. And the "conversation across the wire" between a government agent and a slayer on one side and possessed zombies on the other was the best example of the trope I've seen written(to be oxymoronic).
