Review of chapter "Interlude: And Now for Something More Sinister..." from MistofRainbows
Review:
Tries to find the words without sounding like an ass...

I would have expected a combat trained slayer to do better against a human even in armor... maybe it's just a failure on my part to believe that you can enhance a human with the tech from the mass effect world) to not get pulped when hit... even with armored arms you're taking damage... I'm not saying that I think Slayers have an auto win... anyways. It could just be my lack of understanding with the world... I've seen the game played and looked at the wiki but maybe I missed a whole ton of shit... and just missed them being able to enhance people like that...

I think this is where I use the back button. Got a bit too screwed up for my taste which is sad as I had been enjoying it.

Kai Leng has mastered the art of plot-fu

This ancient combat technique allowed Buffy and Faith to defeat enemies who should by any resonable measure be better , it kept Harmony, Spike and Angel alive despite numerous runins with Slayers and other fighters who were clearly stronger and better

I needed Team Scooby invested in the final battle and lets be honest, nothing get our heroes motivated like one of their own being threatened.

I hope you stick it out cause when Xander and Team Shepard catches up with KL IT'S going to be epic

Timmy and Kai Leng have no idea the shit storm that's coming their way please tell me we are going see the pitch black side of Xander that gives people the shivers when he finds out not to mention Darth Willow plus Buffy going ape shit on timmy's little project so Kenndy is inside Faith body and i take Cordy due to show up soon can't wait to see the Scoobies react to timmy's plan and descended Cordy
Comments from author:
technically Kennedy is inside the cloned body Cerberus created of Shepard. I could tell you it looks like Kennedy but to be honest, by the time TIMMY and Kai Leng are done with her she's going to look a lot more like this

Review:
Have really enjoyed this series to date. Very good character interaction, control of plot, and use of humor.

I was disappointed in disposition of Ashley character, as it kind of hints at her future transformation into a big-bad...but perhaps that will change as story develops beyond ch9.

As always, looking forward to more.

Reading the ending there has me praying you make some sort of odd yet harrowing love triangle between Lawson Jack and Xander...but I figure you won't.

Still nice to see Cordy isn't forgotten and we might see Xander and her duel like nobodies business despite both being on alternate planes of existence. And that look Oriana gave him, I hope see some more of that.

Okay.... Completely loved this chapter. Considering how much I enjoy this story in general that's saying something, but you really knocked it out of the park with this one. The confrontation with Niket and the games that might be going on in the 'verses background while the Normandy is trying to pull off the last minute save was really well done. Xander making new friends and earning Miranda's ire and infatuation at the same time? Fantastic. Having Miranda almost 'channel' Cordy at the end? A wonderful bit of synergy. And actually getting Cordy into the game from wherever she's hanging her cosmic crown at the moment? Especially to PLAY with Xan? Just makes me anxious to read the next coming chapters all the more.
Very well done. Thanks for all the great material and the hard work you put into writing this fantastic story. You need to know how much we appreciate and enjoy it.

Loving this so far, really hoping that something happens with Xander and Miranda to at least put them on friendly terms with one another seeing as I have doubts about a pairing given the the whole Jack/Xander thing that seems to be heavily implied in past chapters.

Can't wait for more.

Now this is an interesting start to Miranda's loyalty mission and Shepard managed to involve the whole gang in it.

I see that Morinth can access her biotics but only under extreme conditions, I hope she doesn't do anything stupid.

Can't wait to see how the deal with this.

Keep up the good work.

This is the first time any of the characters directly talked about the Doctor. Xander's omni tool upgrades could have been played off as Willow's doing.
Just when are you going to actually have him show up? I can understand why you are holding back, has a way of stealing the show, but he's getting talked about, his ears should be burning. =)

Keep up the great work!

Thanks im being careful but As for where he's been keeping himself im using his reactions to Harriet Jones and Ambrose from Hungry Earth as an inspiration

Review:
I see that Jack is warming up to everyone.

I see that Morinth is very unhappy about losing her powers but I'm more worried about how her mother will react; either she will think that this is news that is better than sliced bread or that Willow and/or Xander are worse than all three of her daughters combined and must be taken down,

I see that Willow is trying to do something that the mystery character you are trying to hide can do so easily, I hope someone can get her off her high horse before something really bad happens.

So, the Collectors are just a Tuesday? Then the whole crapload of Reapers that will be unloaded on the galaxy as well as what TIMMY is going to do will be sweeps MONTH!!

Keep up the good work.

Review:
Man, loved the stuff with Jack this chapter - interesting to see all this teammate interaction socializing her to some degree. For example, I practically choked that she had no reaction to the Willow 'seniority' line, not even an indignant huff. Had to put my phone down to contain my laughter in public with Jack's indignant reaction to Kasumi (though if you ever follow up on that - Jack, the character whose outfit consists of a few leather straps, and underwear? I can think of no reason she'd see any value in having 'em! But is Xander - or anyone - brave enough to speculate or question that within hearing distance??) The last scene with Liara was sweet - although I do emphasize with Shepard on the guilt trip for Liara's personality shift. Funny how her character is hard for me to define without any of the hesitancy or reservedness. Huh, very much like early Willow... whose character growth was well done... guess its tough to read the type of people those kinds can grow into! Anyway, loved it all.
Comments from author:
Xander is both brave enough AND stupid enough but he does have issues which you'll soon see. in the meantime thanks so much for reading and enjoying this
