Good writing, smart plot and over all well planed and paced so far. As for the name I have a few ideas, mist could work but may be a little fem; shadow, vapor or haze would also work. Personally I like the idea of something a little less literal like Omen which ties back to the prophecy breaker thing. Just a thought ;)

This is shaping up to be awesome. Cant wait to see who the phone is from.

Nick names are hard but I will suggest the few fairly silly ones that have occurred to me:
Ghost: Because he can probably get in anywhere
Facet: Mainly due to the Primal and Soldier
Aeolus: Greek God of the Winds- again a reference to the smoking thing.
Atomic- the whole seeing atoms and taking things apart.
Fade- well he does just kind of disappear into atoms
Thanatos- is there any way to stop him killing someone?
Kronos - It was mentioned his perception had a different time scale- yeah I am stretching here.

See told you they were all silly but maybe they will inspire something cool.

Great! So Vengeance demons strike again. The wishes always turn back on the wishee. In this case Xander gets power, but now he's going to have a bunch of crazies after him for being a mutant!

Nice one Hallie!! So Xander is Primal Hyena, Soldier and...living bomb? I always hated the 'fray adjacent', and may I say sucky friend Willow, episodes. Cause at the time Willow wasn't all super powered yet, so where did she get off agreeing that Xander was useless. Oz was an out of control werewolf for a couple of days, and normal for the rest of the month. Cordelia had nothing either! And...HELLMOUTH! Not letting him fight wasn't going to keep him safe! Idiots the bunch of them! I'm liking the story!
