Wow, I really, really liked this. I usually can't stand OCs, especially in Buffyverse, but you've managed to make one (technically two) extremely likeable. Please (emphasis on the please :) ) update soon. I would love to see where this story is going!

Thank you very much!
Honestly, so would I, lol. I never know where the muse is headed, but I've been told that this is a serious relationship so we'll all see where it ends up.

I know you have him as in OC, but for some reason when he said his name I flashed back to the character from that one old anime. The one about Dr. Black Jack able to cure almost anything, even if no one else could.
Comments from author:
I actually don't watch anime, so I don't have a clue. Black Jack came to me when I was watching the YouTube videos of Black Hat from the movie Priest. For some reason I can't actually go out to create new characters, you know like sit down and actually try and plot one out. They just spring forth fully formed from my subconscious. I actually didn't have a name when I started putting this down on figurative paper, but in the end decided to call him Black in honor of the character that Karl Urban played in the movie, and added Jack as that was a common name linked with Black.

The two really got a crappy deal. Dawn is the most likely to understand since she got kind of a crappy deal as well being Buffy's Sister. Buffy's life pretty much dictated her life and that always stinks.
Being the Key she might be instrumental in helping the two of them, just maybe.

Thank you! There is a reason that Dawn sounds a little off, I promise. The explanation will be coming in the next chapter.
Yeah, they did. They really just popped right up and started telling me about it. I didn't even remember Glory until over a week later. Dawn does understand crappy deals like you said. She can't even try to get a date without half a dozen of the best demon killers in the world coming down on the poor guy and making threats, not to mention just having a simple friend.
Black Jack's deal is permanent. There is no going back for them. They know that and really have become brothers of the heart, but they've never had anyone who could handle what they are, so Dawn is really a big shock to them. Not only can she handle it, (scoobies are the best at rolling with the weird lol) but she's actually standing up for Black rather than saying what a bad deal that Jack got. That right there makes them both like her a lot.
