Review of chapter "Chapter Eight: At Razor's Edge" from Eureka
Review:
Good chapter! Would have been nice if it hadn't have taken so long but there must be some reason for it.
Have to say I read reviews and as I was reading the story I didn't really take the time to critique the spelling and such it kinda held me spellbound so I didn't notice if there were spelling errors. That is what a good story is supposed to do. Keep up the good work and please not such a long time for the next update please.

God I love these updates. I'd wish for them to happen more often, but we avoid the W word.

You are having too much fun with this bra thing, and I keep waiting for Buffy to cave and promise that next time she'll keep the bra and throw the towel, then just stand there smirking as Tim's mind wanders off picturing That!

Love it!

Review:
Hi,

First off, I /am/ enjoying this. No ifs, ands or buts. I really like your take on Buffy/Elizabeth in the Batclan...

However, there was one thing on this chapter that knocked me out of reading for a bit... That is one particular spelling error. 'Bounds' instead of 'Bonds' or 'Bindings'. You see, several years ago I was taking a 'financial markets' class as part of my degree and the instructor was an Iranian expat. Well, needless to say, he pronounced 'stocks and bonds' as 'stocks and bounds', so seeing 'bounds' used repeatedly in place of 'bonds' or 'bindings' in the chapter suddenly tripped my inner-ear and I was hearing the story read aloud, by him, with his accent... 0.o Made it kinda hard to plow through for a bit ;)

Also, through the latter third of the chapter, the grammar suffered a bit from some missing articles and extra 's's. Should you decide to correct the 'bounds' you might make an editing pass through the back half.

Keep up the great work though! You have a really intriguing story and I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment!

Review:
You know, I wasn't quite sure if I would stay with the story after the talk about the counter-ritual, but I loved that Buffy/Elizabeth nixed the idea.

I really liked her theory that her Calling in her previous life may give her a different counter to the Hunter bindings. Now she and the Bat clan need to figure out how to do it.

Awesome as always! I love the interaction between Liz and Tim and the way you balance Slayer powers with the Bat-world without making either overbearing. I think, most of all though, I adore Dick in "big brother mode." He's fantastic.

Review:
The Batcrew has no idea. The only reason they really have any control or ability over Elizabeth is because of the drain on her power. Once she reacquaints her new body with the slayer power and fighting, I doubt even Batman could take her in the long run. Still lovely. Looking forward to more.

Just reread the series and your tale is very well done. I love Bruce and Elizabeth's meeting. Wonder if the Joker got the message or will he need constant reminders from Elizabeth. She can hit him so hard, it makes him sane (for a moment).
Comments from author:
Thank you! I don't doubt that we'll see the Joker again. :)

Review:
This chapter is definitely worth waiting for.

I think Liz/Buffy and Tim really need to talk more. He still doesn't know what Buffy is capable of. How many different situations, different villains/foe Liz/Buffy had to face to keep save, rescue, prevent, etc. He thinks she always had to fight this way. In her five years that she has been the Slayer I saw her facing more different kind off situations, villains and fights etc. than they ever had to face. The only difference is they let them live and most of Buffy's had to die not all of them but most of them.

He should have known after the Joker. I think they even can learn some from Liz/Buffy, if they can open themselves that is, and if they come down from their pedestal and don't think they are the specialist in everything. They can learn from each other. Buffy is probably more used to this kind of situation than they are. She knows more about rituals, how magic works and probably how the Hunters will think/acts. and their villains, when you give her the knowledge about the weakness and what she should be aware off. She would kick asses maybe even faster than they can and David already thought her a lot presume.

A well they all will learn to never underestimate her. Everybody still do, even the Scoobies, even after knowing not too. She never loses even dying she won.

Can't wait what will come next but first I'm gone read it from the beginning again.

edit: I forgot I love the name you picked Moonwing.

Review:
Almandine Garnet unites the energy of scarlet and red with the more muted, earthy overtones of brown. It is intimately tied to the Earth, and is a talisman of protection and unyielding strength, increasing willpower and resistance to all things negative. It aids circulation and all blood related issues. Associated with the First Chakra, it is a stone of physical love and relationships, and a spiritual stone of psychic protection...also named for its resemblance to pomegranate seeds...and as such boosts fertility.

July's birthstone, the ruby, was regarded by ancient Hindus as the "king of gems." It was believed to protect its wearer from evil. Today, the ruby's deep-red color signifies love and passion.

So is it just the typical Buffy/Drake luck kicking in that has the paired pendents causing these issues, or does the pendents cause it and they are in more trouble than Zatanna originally thought?

Addendum - The thought of a member of the bat-clan being pregnant...*GRIN* But, the hovering that the poor girl will have to put up with. *cringe* None of the boys have ever had to deal with the emotions (or actions) of a pregnant family member before...except Alfred. This is going to be entertaining.

Not to mention Tim trying to explain to Buffy, and then to Bruce and Dick (because they all know that magic isn't free) just what the side effects of this bit of magic are!
Comments from author:
Partly their luck, partly not. :) Where that leads... We'll see! :)

Having the Bat boy's deal with a pregnant woman would certainly be interesting. I have a feeling though if they hover to much over Liz that she would end up punching one of them. :)

Wow, and I thought Batman was a paranoid control freak with defective social skills.
Tim, you hypocritical idiot. With all your creepy and condescending behavior, I'm amazed Buffy hasn't already punched you out, kicked you a few times, and left you in the dust.
"Here, now that you've jumped through enough arbitrary hoops, have this costume I designed for you. No, it never occured to me to ask your opinion on its design, or any of my other plans for you. Why?"
Sigh... Perhaps she's playing a long game and just being patient until the current conspiracy crisis is over and her family is safe again. One can hope.
Comments from author:
I think Tim will surprise you yet. :) But yeah, he needs to be smack upside the head once in a while. :)
