Review of chapter "Chapter Three: First Blood" from (Recent Donor)ConstanceTruggle
Another wonderful update! Really looking forward to seeing what's going to happen next! Thanks for sharing!

Okay. I love that you are having them talk about bringing her in as Mascot Boy's sidekick (Would she be Wendy???), and that Dick (and even Damian!) are behind Tim no matter what he decides. Also that she left so many clues for Tim to figure out that she knew his secret. Also, the UST comment about Tim and Damian was hilarious. I was wondering, though. If they are looking for control of the slayer line, then are there demons? Do they just avoid Gotham due to the Caped Crusader and Co? WHY do they want control of the line? When does Buffy hear (overhear?) the term Shadow Men? One slip to her and they'd know more than what they do now.

Tim is good for her, relationship-wise. But wouldn't she balk at dating another colleague? (After all she's been through, I would were I her.) Is the Cynical Bat going to ever lighten up?

How do they find out if you're META or not? (Not that knowledgeable this far into the series, sorry to say.) Is it just emerging powers or is there a DNA marker? Because I could see Bats testing her blood, and being told she's not META. And for Buffy to be angry that he was angry with her for not telling him and saying something like: "You didn't listen when I tried to tell you I'm mystical, not meta. You treated me like some child who was too stupid to know better than to gainsay her betters (appropriately Buffy-ized, of course. I'm tired.) and that I obviously didn't know what I was talking about." Or something. it sounded better in my head when I had a whole backstory on just that one itty bitty scene worked out.

I’m glad you are enjoying the story so far. Excellent questions! Some of the questions I can answer here, but others I won’t simply because of spoilers. :) Thank you for asking them anyways, because it really did get my mind spinning over the different angles.

To answer your question about demons in the story, partly anyways, in the cannon DC world there are demons. A prime example is Raven’s father and then there was another demon that was revealed in a Teen Titans issue. From what I can tell they are very rare in that world. But in my story there will be a backstory dealing with the demons that will tie into that with the slayer line. If I’m planning this correctly you should get more on this in chapter five and six.

As for why they want to control the slayer line? That little fact should be revealed in chapter five. :) Thanks for asking that question, btw, it made me focus on the why. I always had a vague reason and I finally sat down and fully thought it out.

As for Buffy balking at dating another colleague…. You make an interesting point. I wouldn’t blame her if she did, but I don’t see Buffy giving up on finding love. The TV show is a prime example. After Angel, there was Parker. Despite what Parker did, she still gave Riley a chance and eventually Spike. Is she scared? Probably, but Tim has passed a couple obstacles. That helps. Is she going to be caution about how she goes about this relationship? Most certainly.

Will the Bat ever lighten up? Can I get back to you on that one? :)

About finding out whether you are META or not… When I started this story I wasn’t completely positive myself. I asked my sister who is more knowledgeable about the DC world and her reply was it depended on the writer. With that in mind, I’m decided to have it where it was a DNA marker.

Cute scene! I could completely see that little scenario playing out.

Thanks again for the review! It helped out a lot!

Collin really is messed up. But it's types like that, that can do a lot of damage. She should have taken it more seriously. So..he hired somebody, or found somebody else the Joker had hurt? And plans to get away with it, how? Odds are he'll get a cell next to the Joker's.
Anyway--hopefully slayer healing will kick in. And wow, I can only imagine the differences in the timeline that led to this group of assassins instead of council/slayer.
Comments from author:
Very true. As for getting away with it...mmm... time will tell. :)

Still reading this series! I didn't review the first chapter because I had just left one for the last chapter of Hidden Joke...sorry, sometimes I'm just strapped for time.

I love how you are giving them real relationship worries, plus secrets. It would be refreshing to have a story where people don't ignore real problems and truths and fall right into bed. It's a little one sided at the moment with Buffy knowing Tim's secrets, but him being totally in the dark. I hope she can give him more of her truths. She deserves a relationship where things aren't decided for her and she can be open about herself. She doesn't have to be Tim's savior/hero, and she can be a willing 50/50 partner like things should have been in her previous relationships. Kudos! I really like how you are going about this.

This story is really entertaining. So many questions to be answered. Are there, or are there not vampires in this world. If not, how do these assassins know about the Chosen or the Shadowmen? Are they talking about the same people from Buffy's old world? I would lean more toward 'Yes' because all of the girls taken were budding Metas. Please, don't answer any of my questions. I'd rather find out by reading the story. I just wanted to let you know what was on my mind. lol

You are weaving another gripping story. I already have this one on my track list. I'll be watching my inbox for another update. I love your stories!

Thank you! I’m glad you are enjoying the story so far! I know the feeling. Some days it just doesn’t feel like there is enough time to get everything done. :)

I really do love this type of review though! It helps a lot to hear other people thoughts and questions. More often than not new ideas are spark from them. Even if the ideas don’t make appearance in the current story they often show up in later stories. :)

I’m glad you like how I’m handling their relationship and I completely agree with your points on her previous relationship!

The new chapter should be coming soon! I’m thinking by the weekend.

Again, thank you for the review!

Words can not express how good you story is. Its just...... ugh.... exquisite. I love how Liz/Buffy finally told Tim about her. I wonder what Batman will think about the her "background" now. Do you plan on having Liz meet Bruce ever?(forgot if they did in the previous *going to reread*)
Comments from author:
Thank you! I’m glad you are enjoying the story! Bruce hasn’t met Elizabeth yet but I promise that they will before the end. ;)

This story is even better than the first one. All the twists and turns and hidden identities :) I like how both sides of people are being involved. Bruce and Batman, Dick and Damien and Tim about to be used as hostages against Nightwing, Robin and Redrobin. Buffy being the Chosen, and the Slayer and also Elizabeth. At least Tim now has someone on his side who has some idea of what is really going on - Did Buffy hear any of the other side of his conversation on the phone?
The assassins and the Council look like they will be serious opponents though.
Comments from author:
Thank you! I’m glad you’re enjoying the story! It’s possible that she overheard some parts of the other side of the conversation. ;) Very true, the Council and the assassins won’t be pushovers.

Wonderful chapter! Love it and, thanks to you, I can't read it without adding the 'Yummm!' behind his pseudonym. And we're getting ever closer to the meat of it, with the references to the Chosen and the Shadow Men and everything. Looking forward to the next chapter. Thanks for sharing!

I've read the series from start to finish and I have to say I love the storyline. The writing, in general, is solid, barring the word choice/word usage issues early on. The Joker is one of my favourite Batman villains, so I'm glad you gave him a little bit of the spotlight.

Definitely looking forward to your next chapter :)

I’m glad you been enjoying the story so far! I really need to go back and correct those mistakes… I’ve been slowly getting to that. :) The Joker is pretty high on my favorite list as well. Though he won’t be back for this story, it is likely that he will return later on in the series. ;)

I've greatly enjoyed all your stories in this series. Poor Tim/Red R, doesn't stand a chance against the Slayer's plans.

It's grappling, not grabbling.

and here I thought we won't see Collin anymore mainly after what joker did to him (though it is a side story)
now that I think about it would you bring joker back into this o.o?
but as usual wonderfully written, and looking forward for more :D

It’s possible. ;) Thanks!

I wasn't sure if the last scene was a dream or not. Meanwhile, not bad, only one or two verb ending errors, everything else was fine.

Vandal Savage, nice touch. So... basically all the forces in play, Shadow Men, Vandal S., all think she's a newly Chosen potential; has all the strength, but needs a few years to learn skill. Boy are they in for a surprise. That's her biggest advantage, that she has 6 years of experience being the slayer.
It's almost unfair, Red R. having the doctors notes to go through, that gives quite a lot of her background...
Comments from author:
Everyone is going to be in for a surprise, Liz included. ;)
