Review of chapter "Xander and the Dinner Order" from AllenPitt
Review:
If he does go ahead and kill her, I have the feeling that would open a world of trouble for him. Heh. Also... the SGC is a hugely important program for the US. Way above "Initiative" level. The gov. would never agree to shut it down no matter who asked them to.
If the people listening are smart, and look up "Daniel Jackson" that alone might lead them somewhere interesting, i.e. his 'weird theories' and all that.
If so, they might realize it's aliens not demons and have someone racing to the site, to try and keep him from attacking her. And damn. He's cold. She's a demon, so that means death? Good thing he never met Lorne.
For that matter--attack & kill her, the Goa'uld leaves her & enters him? Ouch.
Wouldn't she have an escort? I can't imagine the SGC letting her go wander the streets at night alone. Major diplomatic incident if anything happened to her. She's got to have bodyguards/minders maybe staying outside, but watching?
Comments from author:
The real problem is that if you look up 'Daniel Jackson' you will find *thousands* of hits. That will make their searches harder. Jackson is an incredibly common name (in America at least), nearly up there with Johnson and Smith. As for Anise's escort... you'll find out about that in chapter 5.

Taking it slow, but good to see more so soon. I'm curious about Xander's open line on his phone. It is able to filter through clothing? At least they'd have gotten a hit from "Samantha Carter" and "Daniel Jackson" by now, even if they couldn't quite make out Goaould. The good part was that she seemed aware of but against them. So he may get a reply that she's a neutral, but they still want to see what the government is up to. I guess Xander would be relieved that he doesn't have to kill her. However, if I recall, "snakey" will be able to metabolize the alochol content better than a normal human.
Comments from author:
Yes, the phone is magically enhanced, so the call center is hearing everything. And you will soon find out just what they have been able to pull up in what really amounts to minutes.

I hope with Xander's influence, Anise do not end up being such a bitch. I kind of like how you write Anise here. It really remind me of Anya. Hope to see new chapter soon :)

Review of chapter "Xander and the Dinner Order" from Angbard
Review:
I approve of your characterization of Xander as a potentially murderous xenophobic buffoon.

Since the symbiote neutralizes most all toxins from the host-body- Anise should drink him under the table.

I hopes she breaks his arm when he tries to kill her.

kudos!
Comments from author:
Heh. They're both more complex characters than shown so far. And things will get more complex.

Review:
Like the fic, you have some interesting aspects in here I haven't seen befor.
One thing though the tok'ra were never wiped out in stargate cannon, their numbers were severly depleted but they were still a strong force through to the end of the series.

Review of chapter "Xander and the Dinner Order" from asqwerth
Review:
It seems strange to me that:

1. Xander's first thought about an apparent demon (and not one from any species known to be violent) who isn't doing anything more than being openly curious about Earth customs and foods is to kill her. I expect great caution and of course intel-gathering, but not an immediate assumption that she is to be killed, just a readiness to do so if necessary.

After all, they know not all demons are violent or evil from Clem and Lorne. Further, Xander thinks that Anise is behaving like Anya after she had to learn to live as a human again, so again, why would this lead to the immediate assumption that she has to die?

2. Xander the comics and scifi geek hears the word "STARgate" and thinks of demon dimensions rather than space and other planets.

Apologies if I seem critical; I loved your previous fic, and thought the way that story proceeded was logical, with all the characters' actions and thoughts making sense. So far in this story, while you write well and it's a pleasant read, I am a bit unconvinced by your Xander's thought processes.
Comments from author:
Good points. But remember that Xander does know the difference between harmless demons and dangerous demons. Anya when she first had to learn to be human again was *not* harmless and was actively trying to become a lethal vengeance demon again. Demons like Doyle and Clem know how to act human, while this 'thing' obviously doesn't. That should spell 'potential threat' to anyone like Xander.

Plus, the SGC is completely under the radar. There is no way that anyone in Xander's world would hear the word 'anythingGATE' and think 'oh, it's not the usual portal to a hell dimension that we run into all the time, it's something completely crazy that only Andrew would buy into'.

And good comments are ALWAYS great to get. I welcome constructive criticism. I know lots of people do *not*, but I'm always open for this kind of comment.
