A crackingly well written set-up for Xander finding his new duty station.

I'll withhold judgement until there's more to judge, but not a bad start, even if that's all it is for now. I was having a difficult time trying to figure out who the unknown demon would be, but Vala and Cassandra was ruled out pretty quickly and the pool of hot female aliens available is surprisingly shallow. I was briefly toying with the idea of some minor character like Athena, since she could theoretically be around somewhere. I was surprised at the Anise/Freya choice, mostly because I don't think I've ever seen a story involving her as anything other than a peripheral character. I'm curious how you'll explain her being there though.

I've only seen Anise used as a peripheral character who's also a complete bitch.

You know, I immediately thought Anise as soon as you described the outfit. This could be very cool. And, you know, we didn't see much of her, but actually, I think Freya would be exactly the kind of girl Xander would go for. Sweet and down to earth. But obviously, no Xander love interest is ever really normal, so of course, Freya shares her body with an arrogant alien snake. It'd be like dating The Odd Couple.

Dunno if that's where you're going with this, but whatever, just glad to see another fic from you after how awesome your last one was ^^

I have to say that this is actually a pretty original way in Buffy crossover fiction for the Scoobies to find out about the Stargate programme and the Goa´uld:

from a seldom-used outsider alien (ie, not Tealć, Vala, Cassie) who wouldn´t be bound by any Earth Non-Disclosure Agreement. Iḿ not counting the Asgard because there have been a few ¨Thor gets involved¨ or ¨Loki experiments on a BTVS character¨ stories.

Don't overlook Xander's native intelligence. Think about what Anise's words would sound like to someone who survived The Initiative.

I'll be interested in seeing where you take this. It would be a very VERY bad thing if the Gou'ld (not caring about spelling) found out about the Hou'ktar (hate words I have to look up when typing them) the Slayers would make. Can we say, swarm? Even if they couldn't take over a Slayer and the response wasn't as wild because of it, then they would think of them as an extra risk to take out...

Anyway, liked the start. Looking forward to more.

Well Anise might not want to drink Xander's blood but I'm sure she can think of a few nasty ways for him to die in the pursuit of Science! If she is on Earth officially with permission from the SGC then she might be on her best behavior but if she is visiting unofficially then all bets are off, and Xander might wake up in the latest top secret Tok'ra base :)
I'd like to think some of his girls would miss him, plus maybe Andrew.

This should be a LOT of fun - Xander may have matured a lot, but I suspect he is still preconception boy underneath. And there are some very strong views on "how the world works" on the other side as well.

i honestly thought it was going to be Murry:) until i read the whole she part then i totally thought it was vala until she said anise(sp?) but i like this much better because it's way out of left field. Do SG1 know that she's at a bar? By her self?

And I'm sure Andrew had one of those codes on that 3-page list for "I just met a woman demon who's involved with a government program that's in contact with aliens from space." Never mind that if it gets sent, nobody really needs to look at the number to know that it's Xander sending it.

Fun story, so far. The clash of personalities between Xander and Anise should be rather entertaining - as should the meeting with Jack.

Unfortunately, this is post SG season 10, so I'm not going to bring in Jack.
