Review of chapter "Chapter Twenty-One" from JediKnight
Very interesting, but it could use something to indicate scene changes.

Review of chapter "Chapter 18" from (Current Donor)Sithspit
You have some terms and conditions mixed up, mainly "shock".

You're right on high blood sugar being hyperglycemic, but that typically results in coma, often called diabetic coma.

Shock related to blood sugar is virtually ALWAYS related to low blood sugar, hence hypoglycemic shock.

Hypoglycemic shock is often rapid onset and quick; diabetic coma, severe hyperglycemia, TYPICALLY takes days to reach dangerous/lethal levels, but not always.
Comments from author:
All of the information that I've been told, when I was a first responder, is that either could present the same, so you should give the patient sugar and call for EMTs, as the sugar would help in a state of hypoglycemic shock and not hurt in the case of hyperglycemia, which, of course, is what I'm positing here.

Review of chapter "Chapter 18" from Senko
Just read trough this, you've certainly taken liberties with the cast. I can't help but wonder how this lot would react to commando Brittany and her personality. I've always thought that the personality we see in the paintball episode and get glimpses of at other times is her real personality.
Comments from author:
I've taken a couple of liberties...but most of what you see as such are their reactions to the changed circumstances that they find themselves in.

They'd likely react reasonably well, as commando Britt was still a sweet girl; however, nothing has changed which would require her to be Britt's primary personality.

Review of chapter "Chapter 18" from Messers
Good to see you here, I'm on the PPMB and I was hoping that you leaving there wouldn't mean you were done writing.

A little blunt the part were the racist go and bother Mack and co. but I just love when they get tasered and threatened by a bunch of little girls in response. The part about Mrs. Johannsen dying from the sugar overload is quite realist, there's people with that kind of problem, and while a little extreme in this occasion the result is the natural consequence of ignoring the her condition.
Comments from author:
Thank you. No, I had just gone as far with the PPMB as I was going to go. I will likely finish up most, if not all of my fanfics, but my focus in writing will likely move away from that.

The racist part...racist think that they're right. Especially when they are from an area where their views are tolerated, they don't hide their hate. And I enjoyed giving them their comeuppance.

About Mrs. J: Yes, diabetics can die from hyperglycemic shock, and she's definitely shown to be on the edge in the canon show.

Review of chapter "Chapter Thirteen" from WolfWriter
Jane's mother needs to have her brain booted up. It's operating on fumes right now. Clean out whatever plaque is gumming up the works, and jump start the thinking process!!!!

Excellent chapter. I was hoping that there wouldn't be a lot of fuss and muss when it came to Jane and Trent's parents.
Comments from author:
The thinking process never was there with Amanda, sadly.

Oh, my. WILL Jake's record for turning different colors (set by Kitchen Sink Stew) be bettered by Helen?

Same time, same channel!

(No.. no bats. I'm seeing Rises when it reaches us, but mostly it's not that the bats are IN the belfry at Lawndale...)

Helen Morgendorffer might come off as seeming more philanthropic than her canon portrayal, but she'd lost Daria for a decade and that had to have an effect on her. Being more aware of and having the urge to help people's problems is completely plausible.
Comments from author:
Yeah, pretty much what I said when that was pointed out on another board. If nothing else, she wasn't going to lose Daria through inaction.

How in the heck Jane never got picked up by Social Services because of her idiot parents is beyond me.

This story is really going places. It's got everything going for it; teenaged rebellion, confusion, angst, joy. All that fun stuff.
Comments from author:
Thank you, very much.
