Finished. Took longer than it should have because my notebook went beyond the call of duty as far as being unstable goes, so I had to reinstall the whole shebang. This morning 173 updates were waiting to be installed...

Well at least it works beautifully now. The story was absolutely the best in the series! I have seen bits of "Predator" and you have really made a brilliant description. Also it's good to see Faith back in full shape, killing the bastards. Makes me wonder how she would deal with Klingons... :)

Also the Willow part is very well done, I hope those two end up together for good in the future.

The Wesley/Shannon interaction was also quite brilliant. I like the idea that watchers and slayers should be paired with caution instead of randomly. But I still hope to see Wesley and Rona interact again, that was damn fun!

OK, going to #9 now. Thanks again for this wonderful series!

Ok, Willow; now I realise that I should never have had Willow/Faith as a couple. It made the back story too messy. Oh well, hindsight is an exact science.

I really wanted to do more Wesley/Shannon but there just didn't seem to be the time.

Not only do you write excellent Kennedy, but you write Faith as a good guy even better than most people write Buffy. Never been a real big Faith fan, but the way you write her ... I could read almost forever. Willow falling for Faith made sense to me, I've always had this notion that Willow was an untapped source of wildness .. mild-mannered shy witch ... indeed. Looking forward to the next installment in this series.

Yep, they say you should always look out for the shy witches, they'll be offering you 'cups of the good red gold if you'll be their lover so true' as soon as look at you!

There's a Fita story with both Faith and Kennedy in the pipe line, we'll see how that goes! In BtVS S7 Faith and Kennedy seemed to get on quite well the few times they interacted, so, I don't know where people get this Faith hates Kennedy thing from.

Carter reported three more Preds, although there may be more elsewhere. Perhaps the third one will meet up with its friends.
Faith and Carter had a brief time to evaluate each other. I think Carter may have under estimated Faith's abilities, from her activities in Iraq. There's nothing like first hand.
It's clear that Faith is nervous about changes in her life, a normal reaction. It doesn't stop her from taking on opportunities that come her way, and the prospect of earning a promotion.
I suspect Riley has had some arguments with Buffy about proper training of slayers; command structures similar to the military. It appears that he lost, since he was reluctant to use older slayers. They would have brought with them useless weapons like swords.
I guess that Faith's temporary assignment will be partially blacked out on her record, at least for people without the necessary security clearance.

I wonder if Willow keeps her little affair with Faith, from Buffy.

I hope you give us a taste of Faith going through her training, to become an agent. Well done on an alternate side of her life.

I see Buffy becoming more the semi-retired slayer as time goes on with Giles actually running the organisation.

Awesome story, I can't wait for the prequel. I think the general trend of giving Faith bigger and bigger guns is encouraging.

But first on my wish list is a return to Dies the Fire. I have been reading all of this Rudi Mackenzie running across American, killing Cutters and wondering where Penny, Joan, and Faith had gotten themselves to. I really see Faith and Tiphaine D'Ath as terrific drinking buddies.

Either way, I'm loving what you're doing. Keep up the good work!

So Faith just had a fun weekend with Willow? I dunno, seems kinda, shallow. Could be awkward if they meet up again, and working for Riley it is bound to happen sooner or later.
Faith's new job sounds like a great idea though, a bit of extra schooling to challenge her and some ranger tabs and WO bars to keep her interested. Soon she will be hunting vampires and zombies *officially* and she can be part of the cover ups :) I don't think Colonel Carter will ever forget her either!

Willow pushing Faith back into the room was the answer to the question was it not? Who would show up. I think Riley knew before hand, so he was aware of Willow's interest he knew before Faith did and kept his attention on the mission. The CID Col. hasn't run across Gibbs and pooched her career over his idiocy. A prequel? After Buffy called off the dogs on Faith I presume. 17 chapters and done, well done indeed!

Col Gibbs did meet Gibbs but decided to stay in the Army after they gave her the job offer of setting up ASID. Gibbs will turn up again soon btw.

The prequel is set more or less while Buffy and the scoobies are trying to round up the new slayers so she's well off their radar.
