Wesley has well worn tracks in his head that are looking like ruts nowadays. Two soldiers are going to check on the Sanders? It looks too much like a cliche. Three troops would be better, eh? Why is Carter always ushering Faith ahead of her. Respect for alien killing abilities?

She's just being polite...also maybe she recognises a natural born killer when she sees one!

Sounds like Carter is missing being in on the action :) At least Wesley is out of the way for now, caring for his Slayer. I hope he doesn't feed her enough misinformation to turn he against Faith all the way. If anything would push Faith over the edge it would be a blonde woman coming after her with murderous intent :(
Willow is also out of the way, resting up her magic, if she has any sense. That just leaves Carter and Faith at the sharp end. And they are splitting up from their buddies. Have they never watched a horror movie? Still, Faith has the weapon she wanted now so as long as they don't run into more than one Predator at once they come out of it alive, if not unscathed.

As Jack would say 'cliches' ! I think that how its spelt!!!

I do hope Wesley realises Faith isn't that bad before Shannon and Faith get into a Slayerfight. That would be bad. And it seems the attraction (and more) between Faith and Willow is growing...

I'm sure nothing bad will happen while Faith & Sam are off by themselves. The Predators must be happy-- target rich environment. Meanwhile, I'm pleasantly surprised to see Wesley making the right decision at a critical moment. He's growing up.
And by the time Willow & the council find out about Shannon, it'll be too late to get her to dump Wesley. I look forward to seeing how upset they get by a 'rogue slayer' working with Wesley. They really mishandled him. He's also very dangerous & getting more so. He could end up being a serious danger to Faith.
I like the new gun for Faith. She also maybe needs to get into the habit of carrying a large knife (Bowie?) or machete or something. She ends up getting into hand to hand situations quite often, after all.
She'd do great in the SGC. Just picture her tearing through a group of Jaffa...

I have plans for a few spin off stories featuring Wes and Shannon plus other BtVS characters to take place in the same reality. Something that started as a very secondary story line in one story has taken on a life of its own!

As for knives, a Marine K-bar is probably more than adequate.

You really write good action scenes. I never got confused and understood what was happening. Hopefully you have the NID guy coming to a bad end, and I always love it when General Jack shows up.

It might be useful for Captain Hill to get the glory for dealing with the guys who massacred people in the mall. It would help with public support for the police.

If Faith is teamed with SGC personnel, then Jack can get a first hand report of how she deals with the aliens. I could imagine that she's just killed one Pred, some of the people she's teamed with approach it an all of a sudden, she spins on her heal and takes out another Pred that everyone missed.
Faith joining the SCG? I hope there's rigorous induction tests for everyone applying for a transfer. That could be a short story.
As for her returning to become a MP, I cannot see it happening.

Hoping Keyes and co. gets it a another story.

No way will Faith be returning to the MP's, I've got other things in mind for her.

Nice update. Still, it's a shame the NID agents made it out so easily.

Also, curious as to why Willow would get so easily sick. She's experienced and seen just as gory and worse, both human and demon, sometimes much much worse.

Unless you're doing it deliberately so Faith can "comfort wimpy-Willow" ? Yes/No?

Given time and space Willow is mega powerful. Its the combat spells that drain her quickly. Also Willow has been using magic to track the beasties and she's been up all night several nights in a row. All not conducive to making her fire on all cylinders

Form a simple story writing pov you can't have an over powerful Willow coz it un-balances the story. You have to make a choice at just how powerful you're willing to make Willow or indeed any of the slayers or else you end up with very shallow plots.

So, Faith got to meet Jack. Those two should get along real well. Faith would be an asset to the SGC, although she'd need to upgrade her tech skills.

Riley's taken possession of the bodies of Keyes' men, complete with fingerprints, dental patterns, and DNA. Of course, the NID will have, or should have, erased any records that would trace back to them but they may have missed something. It might be possible to tie the NID into the massacre at the mall ( which is what the media will probably label this incident).

Finally, something I realized after watching AVP on SciFi : Aliens exist in the Predator universe. That's something to consider if you run out of story ideas for the series.

"The secretary will disavow all knowledge of your actions" as they used to say at the beginning of Mission Impossible.

Aliens? Easy meat! Just don't let them get close!
