Right now, I'm leaning towards a xenomorph varient, but I've been wrong before.

Something new has been added...those hunters aren't rogue at all, are they ? They're Game Wardens, and for once they're on our side.

Edit: All I can come up with is the Johnson County War, which implies that neither group is on our side, because we're what they're fighting over ?

Nice bonding between Buffy and Jaime. No guess on why the change in Predator tactics, and, since they will probably be wiped out, no one on Earth will know either.

My theory is, a slayer's strength is variable. "Usually" she's several times stronger than a human, but if she runs into something like Glory (and survives the encounter) her strength level goes up until it's enough to match. See her first fight vs her final fight with Glory. That is a better explanation than "the writers didn't give it much thought" anyway.
Then it goes back to the 'normal' level.
Also seems to get stronger over time. Easily defeating multiple vamps in later seasons, struggled to fight even one in first, etc.
Any chance she'll run into "Lost Girl"-style Fae, or Grimm-style Wesen at some point?

Another solid chapter. My only quibble is that I think you underestimate Buffy's strength. There are superheavyweight powerlifters walking around who have lifted half a ton or close to it, through a full range of motion. Here's a link : http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/records/raw/world. Buffy should be significantly stronger than an unaugmented human, even if the human is male and weighs over 300 pounds.

I'd have actually said Steve was slower but stronger, and perhaps less endurance (needs more energy) - he may be a previous generation, but he's larger, and has more room for strength augmentation and skeletal reinforcement. This is also basing it on what he actually did in the show, and not so much on what they said (show is more inportant than say).

Still, it's good to see one of my favorite shows growing up getting some love!

Some group didn't want to obey those silly hunting rules the Predator gov. has. Hopefully Buffy won't run out of bullet-y things. And after this maybe she can go Fae hunting (Lost Girl)?
