Interesting story. I'm pleased to see you're posting your stories on this site. I've seen (and read) some of them on other sites and I've been reading Faith the series on it's site. Keep up the good work.

... Please let it change his attitude at the very least...
Loved the interaction of the heroes, especially all the Alpha males floating around. Waiting on tenterhooks for more - which is NOT a comfortable thing to do, let me tell you - so if you and the Muses could kinda move along here...

There'll be more next week.
Thanks for the review!

Snyder as Cap oh ahahahah that is really a come as you aren't. I hope quite a bit of Cap sticks to him! I hope the Super Villains don't get to keep too much, but of course they will - it has to be balanced afterall. What a great chapter.
Comments from author:
Eh, it depends. Think about it, even people who really aren't good guys often like to think of themselves as good guys, Snyder could have grown up loving Marvel comics and believing that as a headmaster it was his duty to turn out 'good Americans'.
Only problem what he believes is good Americans doesn't match with everyone else.
:D

Interesting chapter. I do have a couple of questions though. You confused me about your response to one of the other reviewers you made it sound like you hadn't killed Angelus/Angel where you clearly did towards the end of chapter 1 by having the master rip out his heart and him turn to dust. Where did Willow get the ghost costume? Since Ethan's was the only costume shop and he said that he had no costumes of that ilk, only Marvel Comics based ones. But it would be funny to see Shana's reaction to suddenly be wearing a sheet over her head.

Heh. I'd forgot that.

I'd assume she simply made her costume from a blanket from home.

Oh, Professor X interesting choice for Giles. Spider Woman for Faith - good choice, not too powerful but a good solid boost, and Sue Storm for Jenny that's a good one!
Great chapter!
Comments from author:
And there's yet more choices to be unveiled!
Thanks.

Nice revamp - although could you please, PLEASE kill that S.O.B. Wood as soon as possible? After all, you killed Buffy /and/ Angel for being major distractions and disruptions; I can't see him being any better than either of them...
C'mon, it'd be fun - he goes out trick or treating with his Potentials and the Slayer - whom I note he has entirely too much interest in for her age - as T'Challa and in his normal arrogance gets his butt drained and incinerated to prevent his Turning...
Or he tries to stop the Punisher, who puts him down for good with a double tap of hollow points for interfering with a rescue...
Or Wolverine slices his... Well, you get the idea...
Love the inclusion of Tara, Rona, and the rest; can't wait to see where this goes next...
Comments from author:
Heh. You made a nasty assumption there, I said Angelus NEVER recieved his soul, and therefore Angel never existed, not that Angel is actually dead.
Big hint there....
As for Wood, the reason Buffy bought the farm is she had SEVEN years to change and learn from her mistakes, unlike say Faith and Willow she never did. For me at least she's beyond redemption, and a nasty piece of work that I would be unable to write about without ending up with dozens of complaints. Wood, although I didn't like either, hasn't quite reached the same level of contempt..
Good chapter and also brings up the possibility of an interesting twist. The gods left it up to them to choose what costumes they wore but also choose to have Willows natural shyness as how the spell gets ended. But what if Willow didn't change to the ghost costume, what if she does go as Shana. She doesn't get any kind of real power upgrade, but she does get a confidence upgrade. And on top of that it goofs with the gods plan because the person they had planned on ending it no longer has her own mind while the spells active. I do think its interesting that Willow and Xander are the only ones you didn't give power too. I can understand your reasoning for Willow because she's already has the potential to become an extremely powerful witch, but I have to agree with the others in regards to Xander's lack of empowerment.
EDIT: Like I said I agree with you in regards to Willow, she really doesn't need any more power, and I think if you leave her as the Shana character I think it will give her the confidence and maturity that she really needed at this point in the series. As far as Xander goes, I'm not really complaining about his lack of empowerment, I truthfully think there are more than enough Xander empowerment stories out there, I just thought it was interesting that they seemed to be the only normal human characters you picked.
Comments from author:
Eh, I've always considered Castle one of Marvel's most lethal characters, certainly he's not as powerful as some, but he's far more experienced, skilled, and RUTHLESS than many.
As for Willow, she's the one character in the Buffyverse that would be more than a blip in the Marvel verse power-wise.
EDIT: Xander's the only normal human character you've seen so far. Trust me, there's a lot more people out there picking costumes that you've not seen so far. Also, it really depends on where the line between Meta\human is drawn. Is T'Challa peak human or Meta? Steve Rogers? Nick Fury via the Infinity Serum? Black Widow? And so on and so forth.

Oh dear, Xander as Punisher that will be...interesting. I notice you didn't say what Faith picked - leaving it for a surprise are we [grin]. Cordie as She-Hulk will be interesting. I had kind of hoped for Xander as Hulk...but one can't have everything. Giles as Dr. Strange would be interesting.
Great chapter, thanks!
Comments from author:
Can't let all the surprises out at once, can I?
Thanks.

the one thing i dont like about this story is xander still ends up without powers
Comments from author:
Yes, I've had that criticism before. However, in mine and Xander's defence, he does end up with a great deal more skills, knowledge, and experience than before.
