Pepper may've hit on a winning tack by deciding to 'do a Tony' on Buffy . . . even if her idea of getting Buffy martial arts tutors is possibly/probably doomed to fail (anybody good enough to really teach Buffy something new and useful to her as the Slayer would surely be hard to get and difficult to persuade to sign a full nondisclosure agreement, surely? Even if Buffy agrees to be tutored by anyone without being reminded too much of Giles and everything she's lost?).

I continue to hope for the best for Buffy as well as for Tony and Pepper, and look forward to your next update, whenever.

Cool chapter... I wonder what broke the therapist. I know it wasn't the bending of the wrench, because she did last 20 minutes... Either it was that she couldn't incorporate the truth Buffy was telling her into her world view, with the provided proof sending her screaming to her own therapist... (All therapist are in therapy... it's a rule ;) ) OR Buffy's sanity was so infuriating that the therapist had their own mental break as a result...

I've seen several folks 'complain' about the blood and fire and death and dust in the early chapters... I personally want to thank you. As a result of what happened in the immediate preceding to this story, Buffy is broken... Very very very broken, and having to put herself back together with significant missing pieces to the puzzle... As a later Spike would say, "It ain't all puppies and kittens luv." I think you do an awesome job of depicting a broken personality attempting to reboot from a core of pain and anguish.

I will say when i first read this i found all the "blood death dust" irritating. Story has caught my interest now wondering what the martial arts instructors will think (maybe Fury helps out here?). The whole Tony Stark thing when he comes back, what is the Council going to do, the Scoobies have been mention are they going to be involved. Lots of ? to be answer looking forward to see what happens.

If she's taking her driver's test with a regular instructor, boy are they in for a surprise! And it will be interesting to watch Pepper and Buffy's Day Out unfold- or just see the aftermath. Watched the video- I understand setting up the character and I think you're doing a wonderful job of it. It's always a pleasure to read updates for this story!!!!

i think she should also be sad about angel- you know? She loved him, did 'it' with him- and he lost his soul and became Angelus and she waited, despite the fact he was killing people, she wanted to find a cure. Out of anger and despair, she killed him, therefore she killed Angel too.
So she's happy for killing Angelus, broken over killing Angel and losing her mum and finding out her identity is a lie- and that her father is most likely dead. I'm srsly desperate for our normal Buffy, this ones making me depressed :S Can't wait for tony to be fully part of the picture!! Can't wait for the next chapter!!

I can see why Pepper would try a therapist. It is exactly the right thing to do. Except in this situation, when it is the really, really wrong thing to do. Both Buffy and the therapist would be put in very real danger if Buffy shared too much. As it is I very much hope that Obadiah does not get to talk to the therapist. I can't decide if getting a martial arts instructor or dance instructor will go better or worse. If they have a British accent I expect it to go very badly :( I think Buffy could benefit from some more instruction but she would have to hold herself back or she would hurt someone. I think that would be one of her greatest fears at the moment so she might try to avoid the whole thing, or even frighten off the instructor like she did the therapist.
I wonder if Pepper would have more luck flying out Xander and Willow to stay at the house for a while. Sure, Buffy still wouldn't want to talk, but they could still be there for her.

i was having a crappy day, but it's sooo much better since i saw you updated! very much enjoying this story and can't wait to see what will happen next. :)

I'm wondering why Buffy doesn't want to know more about her dad's situation. Even in this state she wouldn't let somebody "innocence" hang like this if she could do something about it. After all tony could be her last family member left and with him killed or gone she will truly be alone. I would have thought that she would question Jarvis about it but so far nothing. So I'm wondering about that.

Love it how Buffy handles her grieve, for once she aloud herself to grieve. Buffy even when she doesn't now she is doing it and that is the important part.

Poor Pepper -- trying so hard, on so little accurate information, and on top of her occasionally-beloved boss being MIA. I admire her efforts. It seems like even Buffy has to respect her. :)

And good for Buffy, running off the therapist. Powers of underestimation (and just general superpowers) coming in for some solid intimidation. Although I've got to wonder if she won that round for good: a professional head shrink might come back, because Buffy obviously really *does* need serious help, and she'd be a fascinating case study.

While I absolutely love the story, I keep wondering how or if you're going to bring the scoobies back together. I also wonder if you're going to bring more of the great and bountiful Marvel verse into the story. Keep up the fantastic work and good luck.
