You have managed to capture a broken Buffy near perfectly... In fact I'm surprised you didn't title the story "Ashes and Fire and Blood and Dust". And the broken Buffy, like a typical teenager, fails to realize that if she would just talk... to Jarvis... to Pepper... heck, even calling up Willow and/or Xander... and let the pain out... so much of what she's carrying would make more sense... but then again, she's a teenager in pain and she's been drilled on this whole secret identity thing...
Then again... I do hope you have a reunion planned with Will and Xan... where they get to check out the 'Beach Bar' ;)

Fantastic chapter! I enjoyed all the little bits, but the bike is the key for me. I like the idea of her latching onto it and rebuilding it. A nice step in repairing herself as well. Hope that somehow she learns more about Grandpa Howard while repairing it. Plus hoping that as she starts to heal that Buffy notices the pain that Pepper is in at the loss of Tony, knowing that red head is in love with her newly found father.
Nice visit to Sunnydale and great way for Cordy to toss her thoughts on Tony's wealth. Looking forward to seeing Giles in England and what the Council thinks of the new Miss Stark. Best of all have to see the face of Stane when he learns of Buffy.

You did a good job. Love both updates and can't wait for more. I'm glad Buffy is getting some humor back even if it's only with Jarvis. It's only human to think about other things to. Thanks for a less depressing update.
Can't wait for the next update and hopes that daddy will show up soon. I'm not waiting for the Scoobies to come back in Buffy's life because I think they are very selfish and can't imaging how difficult it is to live Buffy's life. thank god nobody knows for real, because in real life it would really suck to have that life and no decision in wanting it or not(slayers life I mean).
I hope she is gone drive the motorcycle when it's finished.

Wow, just wow. Interesting short clip of the Sunnydale group at the beginning, thanks! Okay, Buffy shopping online with Jervis is just perfect, I love it! Jervis being programmed for an understanding of skin tones is...well very Tony...and perfect. Lets Tony pick the perfect gifts for his girl of the day easily. Buffy surfing, was great. Could have used a few more details on that but the idea was great and letting her loose herself in something other than grief for a while was good. Buffy and the Indian Chief is a great story thread, I was hoping she was going to start learning to fix it from Jervis. That is perfect and I love it. Doing that gives her something to do that isn't slaying but is physical and should help her deal with her grief.
This was a great chapter, in a wonderful story!

It may sound callous, but: I like that Buffy is not okay immediately. That it takes her a while to find herself and find meaning in this unexpected life, griefing. I didn't see the Beach Bar and the surfing coming, but somehow, it fits both canons. And the motorcycle is a nice metaphor. Honestly, this is one of the best Buffy-centric stories I have read. We have seen in canon that she has severe difficulties with emotional troubles (running away, attempted murder (Faith), catatonic states, closes up, the whole Spike thing) and you're doing a fine job of transporting this to this story with a rather original premise (Joyce being killed three years earlier). I await the meeting with baited breath.
Thanks for writing Just in Jest

Absolutely love it! It's good to see her start to take a step towards more than the brokenness she is now, and I seriously love motorcycles and can't wait to see what happens there. Jarvis needing her seems pretty true, because without Tony Stark I imagine life would be pretty dull! Good luck with all your wedding planning- don't let it drive you crazy!

Another awesome chapter. I'm really starting to enjoy this. Although I am looking forward to seeing what happens once tony gets back. This is interesting story building I guess.

Very well done update. And I'm sorry that Real Life has been sucking your muse away from you. I know how that is and just how much it sucks so... yeah, sorry about that. Well, thanks for writing this, bye for now.
