Review of chapter "Chapter 1: Haven't Met Him Yet" from SongBirdie
Review:
I saw someone said Lex Luthor. Yes, I'm all for saving him from being evil! He broke my heart watching that show! Buffy would be a good influence on him, without being judgmental like Clark, and Lex would support Buffy, no matter what. Can't you just see him taking a bunch of hand-picked assassins and making them into a demon-hunter unit, to look after the Hellmouth so Buffy can take a vacation? LOL. :D
Comments from author:
And wouldn't it make you howl with laughter imagining Lex leading a marching band like in the video? He certainly would be good for Buffy, assuming he wasn't evil.

Review:
This was awesome. I really liked it. I read all the reviews before posting this, because I wanted to see who everybody else was suggesting. I'm not a huge Buffy-fan (the character, not the show - I *loved* the show, but I'm a huge ol' Xander-fan) so I didn't have any ideas off the top of my head. After reading the other reviews, though, I'm putting my votes down for:

#1 - Jarod. Jarod totally doesn't get enough love and I always want more Pretender crossovers. He's an *awesome* character and I love to read good authors use him in crossovers.

#2 - Eliot Spencer. He's also a character I LOVE to see in crossovers, and I think he would definitely be able to give Buff that intensity she needs in a relationship.

#3 - Steve Rogers. While I like the idea some of the reviewers had suggesting Bruce, Bruce is already in love with someone, and I think it would be bad characterization to dump her. Steve, on the other hand, I could definitely see really working with Buffy.

#4 - Clone!Jack. I always like to see Clone!Jack crossovers with BtVS, because he's really got a crap deal stuck in a teenage body. The Scooby Gang would definitely be able to totally understand an older mind in a younger body (1000-year-old vengeance demon going to high school, anyone?) and it would give little-Jack a way to help save the world without having to go through the military. (Seriously, do we really think his Colonel-memories would be able to make it through the Academy without getting into a LOT of trouble for his smart-aleck attitude? It's been a long time since Original!Jack was low man on the totem pole, and he's got his career history which allows him to get away with a lot of attitude that most people in the military *can't* get away with.)

Jarod's definitely my favourite, but I'd love to read the story with any of these four. I look forward to the final voting!!
Comments from author:
Good choices. I'll be writing a chapter from 'his' point of view when I'm ready to start the voting. The trick will be making it vague enough to cover any of the people on the list.

Review:
I like one of the two that would be both able to see and accept what they saw, and a help, and just interesting choices. That is, Jonas from SG1 ssn 6, or Jarod from Pretender.
Comments from author:
Both good choices. At the risk of influencing people, I have to admit that the Jarod one is starting to really intrigue me. Given his childlike fascination with things at times, Jarod would be a fun change of pace for Buffy.

EDIT: In a couple months, we'll see who the top contenders are and I'll put it to a vote of the top 10 or so.

Okay mooch, As I read this Three to four guys came to mind here. first All I could see was Chris Helmsworth in his roles as either Thor or The Huntsman and I squealed forgive me.
Then when I came upon the part with the phone booth, can you guess who rushed to my mind, of course you do. Our fav timelord the Doctor. Then for some reason I don't even understand Clark Kent (Smallville version) came to mind as well as Oliver Queen. I'm silly I know. Great chap and love the song.

Can't wait to see who wins out in the votes so I can do a pic, hee hee.
Comments from author:
Haven't seen him as the Huntsman, but I will admit he's a hottie. Good choices! Can't wait to see who the people chose.

EDIT: In a couple months, we'll see who the top contenders are and I'll put it to a vote of the top 10 or so.

Comments from author:
Wow, the Raymond Burr one sorta startled me. LOL, can you picture Zorro - in costume - dancing around the store?

EDIT: In a couple months, we'll see who the top contenders are and I'll put it to a vote of the top 10 or so.

Great start! I look forward to the next bit. And, I'm always glad to bug you into posting.

Oh, and I so totally vote for either Bruce Banner (Hulk-a-mania for real, baby!) or Steve Rogers (Captain America) or Tony Stark. No, wait!! Doyle or Tony DiNozzo!! Please???

*mumbles to self* Oh, the list goes on and on!

EDIT: Okay, strike Doyle :-(

Jarod (Pretender);

Jonas Quinn, Cameron Mitchell, Evan Lorne, Carson Beckett (SG-1 & A)

Oliver Queen (Smallville)

Scott Summers (X-Men)

When I think of more, I'll do another edit...
Comments from author:
Unfortunately, Doyle is dead, so that one would be tough. If enough people asked/voted for him, I supposed I'd have to figure out how to bring him back. Surprised your usual list of guys isn't up there.

Love the idea! and the story of course hehe.. my vote is for

1. Ronon - SGAtlantis
2. Jack - Torchwood
3. Dean - Supernatural

Others have listed reasons for all but Ronan that are better than I could post.. but as for Ronan I chose him because he's tough, a warrior, lost his whole planet and been hunted and I think he'd understand her and accept her as a warrior not just a woman.
Comments from author:
Good choices - especially Ronon. In a couple months, we'll see who the top contenders are and I'll put it to a vote of the top 10 or so. By the way, thanks for giving me my 7500th review. You can request an update for any of my open fics as a show of gratitude.

Review:
What a great idea!:) I love your stories, and this looks like it will have a better, happier ending for Buffy. :D My votes are for:

Dean Winchester (Supernatural): He would understand Buffy's sense of duty, to the mission and family, understand wanting a normal life but knowing hunting won’t let you go and you can’t leave it, he knows hard it is trying to come back to life after being dead, since he went to hell for Sam, and Buffy jumped for Dawn. And he knows firsthand how hard it is to parent your sibling.

Elliot Spencer (Leverage): He has a great singing voice, can be kind, is fiercely loyal to those he loves, is a great fighter, but has big dark side. He understands being loyal to a cause, being betrayed by people you trusted, PTSD. Buffy would make him better, and he'd make her happy.

Dick Grayson (DC Comics): (Partly just because I think that there can never be enough of this pairing) Dick is strong, a fighter, rich, understands duty, PTSD, messed up or dead families, having to make hard choices, and never being enough. I think they would be good for each other. He likes strong women, Buffy knows how to deal with broody men, Dick is a joker when he's in a good mood, he and Buffy could joke with each other, Buffy would understand his crazy exes, and vice versa, and they’d be HOT together.

Jason Todd (DC Comics) Jason came back from the dead, too and dealt with it terribly, and his 'family' was no help, made things far worse. I think he could make Buffy laugh, and she would ground him. Not sure how it’d work long term though.

G Callen (NCIS:LA): He's a loner by nature, and he wants to belong somewhere. He’s loyal to those he loves and who earn it, and he’s had to make the hard choices. He would understand life being too much sometimes, and PTSD. I think Buffy would give him a reason to stop running, and he'd give Buffy someone to fight for, with, come back to.

I also nominate Bruce Wayne (Batman), Tony Dinozzo (NCIS), Aaron Hotchnor (Criminal Minds), and John Shepard (Stargate: Altantis). I hopes this helps! Have fun! :D
Comments from author:
Wow, you have some fab choices there. There'll be a vote in a couple months of the top 10 choices.

Review:
This is fun. Ok. When I was reading it the part with the spinning phone booth made me think of Clark Kent which makes me think of a Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne love triangle I really want to read a story about a love triangle between Buffy Batman and Superman. I love the idea of these guys trying to win over the girl of their dreams. LOL I also love all the ideas for Captain America, and Daniel from SG-1. I also love the idea of Jarod from the Pretender. I am looking forward to seeing what you decide.

I guess if not the triangle thing my vote goes to either Captain America or Daniel.
Comments from author:
You thought of Superman, another person thought of the Doctor. Both work though. Nice suggestions. There'll be a vote in a couple months of the top 10 choices.
