Awesome story! I couldn't stop reading it, even when I knew I needed to get to bed.
I'd love to read more from this universe!

Thanks for writing a very good story. I'm glad you're working on a sequel. It sucks you had to leave it on a cliffhanger, but I guess you always have to leave the audience hungry for more. :-)
Comments from author:
I'm not sure about a sequel (yet)... kind of want to let the dust settle and work on something else for a while. I'm currently in research mode for something unrelated (it's in a crossover I have not written before) and once that's started, I plan to read through all the Courier reviews for ideas for a possible sequel.

Great ending, if a bit abrupt. Keep up the good work. Whatever it may be.

Just excellent. Always enjoy your work, and this is no exception. :) It'd be nice at some point in the future to see a little bit more of the 'Lady Liberty' series too, but I'll take what I can get!
Comments from author:
I do have plans to start posting another story within two weeks (am currently doing prep research, as it's in a fandom new to my pen). Like 'the Courier', it's a semi-revolutionary concept (though not in the 'Lady Liberty' sense of the word... ha!). So stay tuned!
Edit (2/23/13): I do have a very basic outline of a plan for how to get 'Lady Liberty' to a sense of closure. It involves a trilogy of short stories (one a completion of 'Continental Christmas', one a few years later in the war, and one after the war.) No idea when I'll get around to writing it, but at least it's something.

I love this story, almost no action (which is what I like the most) but it was very interesting and held my attention so much that I had to read it straight through without stopping for more than a few minutes.
If you do decide to write a sequel, just an idea ... maybe the SG or Atlantis explorers visit the new planets and discover the plans/schematics for making their own naquada generators that the Ancients left millenia ago and the locals had no idea what it was ... but, of course Dawn recognizes them and Daniel Jackson and her translate them. You could have a lot of fun with the new planets, maybe making one or more an R&R for the Earthlings, or turning the planets into a bicycle world and a bicycle economy much like the US had/has a car economy.
At any rate thanks for writing and sharing this very entertaining story. I'm going to check out other stories you have written ... after I get some sleep.
Comments from author:
yeah, looking back... I think the biggest "action" scenes were the two where Dawn almost crashed the bike. No real fight scenes (in fact, only a handful of times did I even mention characters being armed, and they never needed to be).

I have quite enjoyed this fic; swift pacing, nice characterization, and a nicely gripping plot line.
Hope your muse keeps feeding you story lines for this one!
Comments from author:
Thank you! There's quite a few other fics by me posted, and I'm working on background research for my next fic (which is *not* a 'Courier' fic)... I may come back to it, but I prefer not to make that decision right away.

Was this the last chapter? It came so quickly.... :(
Thank you for writing and sharing, and please, please continue this story! It feels like the end of season/book 1. I'd love to read more from you!
Best wishes!
Comments from author:
I'm not sure if/when there may be any more Courier fics - I'm holding off on a decision for now, letting the dust settle, and then I'm going to read through all the reviews for ideas in a few weeks.
However, if you want more of my fics, there are quite a few already posted, and I'm in research mode for my next one (I'm going for a fandom I have not written before; it's not in the Courier-verse), which I will hopefully be starting posting on sometime in October.

Interesting. Thank you for a great story. Although I think you should have written the few more chapters necessary to describe the reactions of SGA to her gatejumping ability. It seems unfinished as it is right now.
Comments from author:
If, in fact, there is a sequel, I'm sure that would come up near the beginning of the story.

So sorry to see The Courier end! This was an incredibly creative premise, and was excellently written. There is a lot of sequel room left, so I hope to see these characters back!

I'm not sure if/when there may be any more Courier fics - I'm holding off on a decision for now, letting the dust settle, and then I'm going to read through all the reviews for ideas in a few weeks. For now, I'm working on backstory research for a totally unrelated fic (well, not totally, as it is Key-related) in a crossover I haven't previously written.

Review:
A great well written story. It seems to me that the other reviewers have so far missed what could be the most interesting revalation, if true of course. That everyone seems to be obessed with the wrong Dr's questions.
Dawn seems not to be ageing!
If true, it would not be long before people (some or many) begin to notice. Also Her uncanny ability to learn new languages impossibly fast.
Dawn, with her gate ability could be a great scout for the SGA crew. Nothing gives away surprise faster then an actavating gate. Dawn could sneek onto a world (at night most problably) unoticed and slip back. Could she take someone else this way?
I would LOOOOOOOOOOVE to see a new story with the Courier.
And again I enjoyed this story sooooooooo much.
Thank you for sharing it.
