Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VII" from hamishog
Review:
Well, there'll be a hot time in the old town tonight. Especially if Liz sees Giles. The collateral damage should be quite extraordinary.
And kudos for maintaining the Xander/Willow connection. All too many see their relationship as...well, weird. It's not quite sibling and it's not quite romance. It's love - raw, pure and unrefined. Because what else can you call it when a man demands the right to die first. That was so cool. I can see bad things happening if Xander and Willow aren't brought into the fold as it occurs to me that they probably would invade Cheyenne Mountain. The dynamic between those three is insane. And beautiful. And quite possibly lethal. I wonder if Giles thinks about what he's unleashed on the world - in a very real way his kids.
Comments from author:
Giles clearly does think about it. And he managed to keep tabs on them when they did NOT want to see him again. But he's 007, so when he feels guilty about something that happened on a mission... he just shuts up about it and compartmentalizes.

Review:
Great chapter! Liz' "insano" thoughts, her remarks about "until high heels went out of stlye - perfect Buffy. And to see Giles' side of things... good work on making him sympathetic again. But the cliffhanger... can't wait for the next chapter!
Comments from author:
Well, every version of Bond is 'the hero' but would not look like one from the outside.

Review:
I enjoyed seeing this version of Rupert being less of a cad (or at least having regret) compared to the one in the Alex-verse. Good chapter. Thanks for continuing.
Comments from author:
There's nothing that says the Alexverse Giles doesn't regret some of the things he does because it is his job.

Something tells me that this ain't going to end well. Not for Giles at least. Jack may be wishing that he had her completely disarm after they finish their helloes. He also better hope their are no ancient weapons lying about.

When you mentioned Buffy's katana skills I thought of kill Bill.
Comments from author:
It's always katanas, you know. Never a jian, for example. Maybe Hollywood scriptwriters only know one Japanese weapon. :D

Review:
So, we finally got some info on Giles background in this world and how Buffy ended up working for NID. If things are taking a turn for the worst, it MIGHT be time to try and bring the gang back together per se. We know where Xander is, and we know where Xander is. Now, if we can just bring Red back into the fold, then LOOK OUT! Because then, THEN, it will be SHOWTIME! And Kinsey had better watch out if that is the case.
Comments from author:
Kinsey had better look out, regardless. He now has the world's most dangerous cracker on his tail.

Review:
OK - I haven't read all of this yet. I read the first story in the series, and then started these, all the way to where Jack starts at the school and Dan is all geeky on the books.

These are WONDERFUL, just freaking wonderful - both in the writing (and you can write Xander and Jackisms wonderfully), in the peoples and in the ideas. God I love them. You have great ideas and you really surprised me. Thank you for writing. I am addicted.
Comments from author:
Thanks! I like getting reviews, so feel free to drop me a note when you hit something notable, either really good or really bad. (I also like recommendations. :D) Some of the characters are easier to write than others, and some simply won't flow from my keyboard until my muse feels like it. Alex Mack is easy for me. Jack and Xander and Buffy are just fun to write.

Review of chapter "SG-1 and an Agent, part VI" from SirLee
Review:
The Whateleyverse is a superhero-style shared universe with a few twists. The main setting is the Whateley Academy, a school for teenage mutants. No, it's NOT Xavier's Academy; for one thing, it's way bigger, with something like 600 students, so it's run more like a "normal" boarding school (except for all the superpowered students, of course. And the special powers-relevant classes). And for another, it has *both* heroes and villains in the school board, since villains have kids too. One thing that you should know beforehand is that most of the authors came from the TG (transgender) fiction community, so you should expect quite a few of the characters having sex-changing experiences of some sort. You can find more info in the official site (http://www.crystalhall.org) -- note the link to the forums -- and on the fan-maintained wiki, which is quite comprehensive considering the relatively small size of the fandom (if I may say so myself, since I'm one of the twenty or so most active maintainers of the wiki), at http://crystalhall.wikia.com .

Review:
Sorry but whats the Whatleyverse that you mention occasionally? Got a link? Because I'd love to read whatever you may have written.
Comments from author:
It's not well-known, so it would be surprising if everyone had heard of it. I see that Sir Lee has already written a nice note about it. Let me add that as a shared universe, the writing varies. Some authors are good to start with. Some get better as they write more. Some develop improved technique. Some are utterly hilarious. Some are serious. Some have overpowered characters (it is a superhero universe so you need a couple) and some actually have *underpowered* characters. And it is immense, as in tons of material. Oh, and a lot of the protagonist characters have a transgender background. All of the protagonists I *created* (I inherited one) do not, but have other issues.

Review:
Wonderful stuff. Buff- uh Liz-and Jack are a house afire for sure. Our Liz is a tradecraft and Legend nightmare, is she playing our sg team or is she really coming clean. Being captured is the best way to sneak into a secret installation, no? Reply to author: Not that kind of fire, Battle Buddy kind of blaze. I like their mindedness.
Comments from author:
Thanks. But I'll go ahead and spill: Liz and Jack are not going to be a couple in this series.

Review:
Faith did get a mention (although not an on-screen appearance) in the "Buffy in the DC Universe" storyline. I even remarked here that Batman was slipping, since he *had met* Canon!Faith and yet didn't find anything of interest regarding this counterpart.
Comments from author:
Well, either Batman is slipping, or his writer is. :D

Review:
I'm tempted to make a spreadsheet of who has met who in each world. Is Faith going to turn up antwhere other then the Buffyverse, they all did meet her at the end.
Comments from author:
I have some plans, but not everything I think of goes down on paper past rough notes. My muse is pretty unpleasant about any lapses on my part.

Review:
> But if you’re committing treason by letting aliens run loose on our planet

How exactly is it treason for aliens to be on Earth and/or in the United States? Legally speaking, it would be no different than having Japanese people in the United States. 100% legal with government permission.

> I’m totally sure you do not want what you do to get spread all over the internet like lolcats.

For someone so concerned with possible treason committed by others, she sure seems eager to commit treason herself.
Comments from author:
[1] Bringing creepy aliens here to take over the country is definitely treason in the technical sense. Just bringing them here for tourism would not be.

[2] Hey, that's extortion that Liz is doing there, not treason! :D

I'm noticing that Jack seems to know a lot about Buffy's Giles. I'm just sayin'. :)

Edited... Ah- HA!! Jack was on the op with Liz's Giles, not Buffy's.
Comments from author:
And there might be a reason! Remember, this Jack was on that op with this Giles where they fought terrorists and wiped out a Goua'uld and his spaceship.

Diane: "Time management is the art of blowing off people you don't want to talk to." ~ Dogbert

Or, if you're 007, the art of getting the people you don't want to talk to to blow YOU off?

What exactly is the "OPGU female agent" route? I'm guessing it involves vaginal and/or anal weapon carry (Eww!), but what else? Though I bet having had kids would...expand your carrying capacity somewhat.

Also, write faster!!
Comments from author:
Write faster? On what? I happen to be working on eight Whateley stories, three current TtH stories, and two more possible TtH stories (along with one maybe, maybe not TtH story that is nto coming together right now). Oh, and I have a Real Life.
