Review of chapter "The Choice of the Peredhil" from AllenPitt
Review:
I think Dawn is the one. But then again she's the Key, it's energy, not sure she can 'die' as people do. She might revert to being a ball of green glowing energy on 'death'. Her & Estel makes a lot more sense to me than Arwen -thousands of years older than Estel, knew him when he was a baby etc. That's almost like Cordelia/Connor...
And meanwhile, I have to wonder how each of B's companions will do when they meet Galadriel. Tested / secrets exposed, gifts given etc. Xander's lie? (Though I think he did it for good reasons). Willow and magic-addiction? I dunno. Not sure it's sunk in yet for Buffy that they're all going to die 'real soon' compared to her life span.

Review of chapter "The Choice of the Peredhil" from (Current Donor)Sulien
Review:
Funny thing: the first time I heard the Primitive tell Buffy "Death is your gift", the Gift of Illuvatar was the first thing that popped into my mind. I was wondering while reading this what Buffy's choice might be and I figured that her drowning didn't quite count as Xander revived her without her making a conscious choice one way or another. I'm interested to see where you decide to take this eventually in this regard; after all, Illuvatar may possibly disagree with Galadriel's interpretation.

Thank you for the update! I'm really enjoying this tale. :) And I'm really looking forward to the meeting between the Scoobies and Galadriel and Celeborn!

Review of chapter "The Choice of the Peredhil" from ShalaDakiri
Review:
You know, I had first thought it would be Arwen, as in the books, but then I remembered Dawn/Tindomiel and considering Aragorn is still a kid in this story, it could just as easily be her that Aragorn notices.

It is funny when others misjudge Xander. Until someone remembers what he accomplished.

Review:
I'm really enjoying this still, I especially like that you're doing something interesting with the characters and not just having them all get along nicely from the start - though Arwen and dawn are going to be a force to reckon with once they start getting along!
Comments from author:
Thank you! Arwen and Dawn are indeed going to be quite the force once Dawn stops playing the brat- which should go quicker now that Arwen understands what was going on.

Review of chapter "Galadriel" from AllenPitt
Review:
yeah. Galadriel has 'seen it all', there's nothing Buffy's gone through that could shock her. G. is a real survivor of the wars. Knew Feanor and all that stuff.
Got to wonder how she reacts to Tindomiel though. Spliced into the family tree, that's a one of a kind event even for Elves...
Comments from author:
Galadriel has seen a lot- including more about Buffy than she let on to the others in that brief snippet. Trying to write it out to my satisfaction, but so far it's not working.

Review of chapter "Galadriel" from Nosi
Review:
Wonderful to have 3 new chapters in just a few days. All very enjoyable once again. I did like the Arwen & Dawn interactions, especially with each being surprised at how the other's interpretations of their actions. I also look forward to the possibility of Dawn getting to know the young Estel.

This latest chapter was also just lovely, with Buffy being comforted by the understanding from Galadriel. I do so hope for still more little snippets to come. Any likelihood of any romance or flirtations for our girls ? Although with big brothers around, probably not too likely.
Comments from author:
Thank you. There is more to come. But I'm really just playing with the family dynamics right now, I haven't given much thought to romance or flirtation for the girls. (Elrond and the twins would probably be horrified at the idea of Dawn and romance or flirtation, since she's practically still a baby by elven standards.)

Review of chapter "Little Sister" from WolfWriter
Review:
If Arwen is really sooooo stupid as to NOT know she's being annoying, and gives a measly excuse that she WASN'T, I wouldn't forgive her at all.

She doesn't know Tindomiel, she simply wants to boss her around as if Tindomiel were a retarded puppet or something. You'd think that Joyce would take steps to stop that kind of behavior.

But she's all caught up with her husband, I guess, so her youngest child takes a back seat to that.

And it was JUST a hairbrush! It's not as if she snuck into Arwen's room and cut her hair off while she was sleeping! Or put a hex on her that made her break out.

I sure as heck wouldn't apologize if she were to boss ME around like that.

And having to suffer an repulsive, spoiled stick up her butt princess as a teacher is too much.

Hopefully Tindomiel can make a case to her mother once Joyce gets over her new honeymoon period, and get a neutral teacher.

Meanwhile, have the kid curse her out in Sumerian, Ancient Egyptian, Latin, Greek, Mandarin, Japanese, and whatever else she can think of.

No one likes being made to feel or look stupid, which is what Arwen is doing to her.

Have HER learn ALL of those languages all at once, without a break, and make HER look as stupid as possible in front of everyone, I say.
Comments from author:
Wow. That's a rather strong reaction. It may have been just a hairbrush, but Tindomiel was also being just a bit bratty. Remember that this is season 5 Dawn- a young teenager with all the capability for self-absorption and misunderstanding adult motivations that goes with being 14, and who hasn't gone through any of the maturing experiences that Dawn has in season 5 or 6. As someone who deals with this age group on a regular basis, I can tell you their interpretation of why they're being told to do something and the adult reason are often poles apart and it comes a total surprise to them if someone explains it to them.

Review:
Yes, Arwen has the annoying superiority part of being an older elven sister down pat. Wonder what Galdriel will make of her middle granddaughter.

And if Elrond decides that since he missed the babyhood of his youngest, he wants to se that of another... ;-)
Comments from author:
Galadriel's reaction is coming up next.
There will be no more little elflings- Elrond and Celebrian have enough to do with the children they already have, particularly since Dawn isn't far beyond babyhood by elven standards.

Re: Allen Pitt's review, according to Tolkien, Aragorn and Arwen first met when Aragorn was in his twenties.
Comments from author:
That's the first time Aragorn saw Arwen. Given how vague Tolkien's timeline is prior to that, Arwen could have been around before then and just didn't interact with Estel. (It's still kind of creepy and cradle-robberish for someone who's a couple thousand to be into someone who's twenty.)

Review:
Inquiring minds want to know. Could Tind. make the Bruinen rise? If so, did she make it go up and down. And up and down. And up and down. Over and over?
And how creepy is it to think that Arwen, fully adult, knew Aragorn when he was a kid? Not sure Tolkien gave that enough thought.
Any chance Glory will be showing up?
Comments from author:
Yep, she could. She could also have drowned herself accidentally since she didn't really know what she was doing, which is why she got in trouble for it.

Super creepy! It's bothered me ever since I first figured it out. "Wait, she knew him when she was a couple thousand and he was a toddler? And then she decided to marry him? How? What? Why?"

Definite no to Glory. She was left behind in Sunnydale, with no chance of following them to another dimension without the Key even if she could figure out where they went. I haven't really thought it through, but I suspect Faith would deal with her. Buffy might have been too much the hero to kill Ben, but somehow I doubt Faith would have an issue if she's presented with the 'Ben is Glory' information.
