Review of chapter "Who's That Girl?" from AllenPitt
Somebody really should tell Buffy about the upcoming Cruciamentum...I'm surprised Draco, Lucius, & Narcissa between them don't know (or haven't figure it out between them). Then again LM probably just assumes it can't happen now that she's with the family in the wizarding world. What can the council do with that level of protection?
Might be amusing if it did happen, but she had her wand on her... ie if the council did it, but didn't know she was a wand witch.
At some point the Malfoys are going to find out about Angel....that will be fun.
Comments from author:
The second chapter of "Waiting" contains some rather important details regarding who does and doesn't know about the Cruciamentum...

Review of chapter "First Impressions" from burmafrdnow
So the Ministry knew about the Cruciementum. Interesting. Something you think the council would try to hide since only a moron would not realize that it was a case of premeditated murder.
Comments from author:
Yes, the Ministry is aware, and takes a very dim view- which is why they refuse to let the Council claim jurisdiction over Slayers who are witches.

Review of chapter "Who's That Girl?" from Sandi
Okay I can see Hermione's point about being careful but it doesn't look so well intentioned from the other side. Actually invasive and ... she could 'ask' Buffy?
Comments from author:
Hermione's original plan was just to make sure the Ministry knew about a witch Slayer- Ron's insight that Buffy wasn't raised a Malfoy changed things a bit. Asking Buffy is probably the last thing that would occur to most of them- why would they expect the Malfoys would let her meet with them again or that they would get straight answers if she did?

This is one of those wonderful stories where the reader gets to be the 'fly on the wall' and hear all of the interesting things everyone is saying about an incident. I'm truly enjoying this and greatly anticipating the next bit!

Thanks for the update!
Comments from author:
Thanks! I thought it would be fun to see the reactions to Buffy being a Malfoy from all angles.

I'm really enjoying this series but I do wonder why Hermione and Ron haven't mentioned/noticed Buffy's American accent.
Comments from author:
Give Ron some more time to process- he was severely thrown by the idea of Malfoy having a sister, but when he does stop to think on it, he gets there in the end.

Review of chapter "First Impressions" from bradsan
Euhm AllenPitt, Buffy knows about the cruciamentum she has been told in chapter two in the story waiting.
What I don't get is why Hermione doesn't want Buffy to know. Not good behavior for somebody who fights the good especially when you know it can kill Buffy. And she can't wait to tell the Ministry about Buffy being a Slayer how low is that. Nope not nice really not nice. I will call it mean she doesn't know Buffy so she can't hate her already.

It's so not Buffy to tell that she is the Slayer to complete strangers it doesn't fit her character. Nobody would tell that to somebody they just met and don't know about. So I don't understand why she would tell Hermione especially when she noticed Draco's behaviour against them.

Can't wait what you will write down next. Still like the story and can't wait whats gone happen next.

edit: thank you for explaining it make more sence or is it sense to me. again thank you.
Comments from author:
Thanks! But I think you misread Hermione a bit- she didn't hate Buffy. Her motives about possibly telling the Ministry are a little mixed, but she definitely has a better read on the situation than Ron and is if anything slightly concerned about Buffy. (She assumed Buffy was already aware of the Cruciamentum, based on Buffy's comment about it being good she was a witch since her birthday was coming up.)

And since the Slayer isn't a secret to the wizarding world, Buffy doesn't have any reason not to tell, particularly not with someone doubting her magical bona fides. She got that Draco isn't terribly fond of Ron, and that Ron was being a bit insulting about her, so she was baiting him a little bit...

Absolutely LOVING this series! I hope you decide to put all of these fictlets together and add to them eventually, as they'd make a truly fabulous full length story.

Thank you for sharing!
Comments from author:
Afraid they're going to stay a series- if you read the whole series, you'll get the full story from the various perspectives, since sometimes things will overlap.

Oh god. someone below mentioned Xander & Fred meeting. The (wizarding) world is doomed. ;)
Comments from author:
Why limit it to the wizarding world? Xander could probably get away with taking some Weasley products back to Sunnydale, seeing how the town is so determined to ignore the supernatural...

Review of chapter "First Impressions" from AllenPitt
So...Buffy doesn't know about the cruciamentum, but Hermione does, possibly Ron as well. Covered in DADA? If so, then Draco would know? The Malfoys would be Not Happy about it, if done to her, I'd think. Meanwhile, the Ministry... yeah, they'd be interested in a new Malfoy, who was a slayer.
So..the mayor is still around at this point, right? Her 18th was before "Graduation"...
Comments from author:
Take a look at the other stories in the series- some of your questions are already answered. :) And yes, the Mayor is still around, this is set in January of season 3.

The gossip newspapers in the wizarding world are gonna go nuts when they find out about Buffy.

Good story looking forward to your next chapter.
Comments from author:
Thanks! Yes, Witch Weekly is about to have a field day with this... and possibly the Daily Prophet as well.

Are other people going to meet? I want to see Fred and Xander. Xander knows about losing people close to and might help Fred and will love the joke shop. Every other Scoobie will hate the result.
Comments from author:
Possibly the Scoobies might come visit Buffy in England at some point...
