Review of chapter "The Adversary Evidentiary Cartulary" from RevDorothyL
Review:
Continuing to enjoy this exchange of 'opinions' (or 'carefully reasoned hypotheses', if Sheldon insists!). :)
Comments from author:
Well, Sheldon's carefully reasoned hypotheses are about to get stressed.

Review:
I thought it was a short chapter because I reached the end in a flash, but looking back it was actually quite long. I was just so into the story that I didn't notice how long it took me to read it. So I'm giving this chapter high marks.
I'd like to hear more from leonard, though.
Comments from author:
Oh, you'll hear more from Leonard in the next chapter.

Review:
Ah, poor Sheldon. No one considers him distinguished. They should just gate in Willow and recruit Sheldon to work on a "universal magi-science theorie" or such.
Comments from author:
Well, you'll just have to wait for two weeks and see what happens when Willow pops in.

Review:
Poor Sheldon. I wonder what's going to happen when he finds a picture of the Sunnydale high school principal.
Comments from author:
Which one? The Quark look-alike? "Oh, him. Yeah, he got eaten by a hundred foot snake demon." That would go over well. :-)

Review:
Although I'll confess this chapter slowed the tempo down a bit too much, this remains such a pleasant surprise - you capture the tone of the show so very, very well! I've enjoyed the earlier chapters, such as Penny's matchmaking with Xander & Faith, and the current mess, as well.
Couple things of note with this chapter: 1-Leonard. The gang's voice of reason is playing his familiar role of methodically countering Sheldon's arguments - but the whole 'avoidance thing' is pretty freaky (and cool, but still). Wouldn't he be intrigued, even if he disagrees with the alien thing? Raj & the booze was well handled, Penny calling after him volunteering her Schnapps...what if he stumbled towards the bookcase curiously - or, if asked why he wasn't, he could counter with "I prefer to look at the hot neighbor chicks" or something...
2-Missed opportunity after Penny quoted the Clark law, whether it be her rolling her eyes at herself, or several members of the BBT cast reciting it with her and her explaining "you'd be amazed how often this comes up," etc.
Before everything wraps up with this scene, you have the opportunity to milk the classic 'silent communications gag' with Penny and Buffy, (like with the text message earlier) communicating over the others' heads or behind their backs, etc.
I stopped watching the show because a little Sheldon goes a long way. But you've done so well capturing the tone of the show in a FUN way. I'd have enjoyed it as a mostly Adventures-of-Penny-on-the-Job perspective with cameos by the others, but upping the ante by bringing the issue front and center should be fun!

You'll be surprised when you see where Leonard goes next.

I'm enjoying this even though the only 'Big Bang Theory' I've ever heard of is the one formulated by Georges Lemaitre.
Comments from author:
Well then, your first stop should be YouTube to look at lots of free clips from the show, including a large number posted by the people who actually own the rights. That should let you decide if you want to watch the show from the beginning on Hulu or somewhere like that. It should also give you a better feel for the characters and their distinctive voices.

> Hence the _bec de corvin_ under the couch. And I'm sure this has nothing to do with Bek D. Corbin ;)
Comments from author:
Well, it *could* be why I opted for a _bec de corvin_ instead of one of the dozens of other names for polearms. Japanese swords? There's like eight, all of them different, so a dilletante (like yours truly) can keep them differentiated in one's head. Polearms? Nope.

Review:
Shoes and melee weapons, two things Buffy can never have enough of.
Comments from author:
Polearms are a seriously undervalued weapon when you might be fighting a demon with a hard shell. Or tall people. Hence the _bec de corvin_ under the couch.

Lol! Opps! :)
Comments from author:
There are very few people that it's an okay thing if they say 'oops'. This isn't nearly as bad as if one of Team Kimba says 'oops'. Trust me on this.

"Maybe she had a couple too many weapons in the apartment. Maybe."
You can't ever have too many weapons!
Great chapter! I wonder how they'll get out of this one.

Maybe they'll go with the hummus plan: they never got to try it on the Mayor, so you never know. :-)

Review:
"You poor, deluded child." Sheldon and Amy chorused.
At which point the two of them break down into a back and forth patter as to which delusional psychosis Miri is suffering from, what treatment regimen would be most appropriate and whether she would ever be capable of a normal life... To which Leonard pipes up and volunteers to be her live-in caretaker while a drunk Raj giggles helplessly over the schnaps bottle.
edit: Surprised you didn't needle me for 'merging' Miri and Tia into 'Mia; ;) Glad you found it humorous! =D
Comments from author:
:-) :-) :-)
Not that I plan to go in that direction, but that's hilarious.
