I know what you mean. When I'm writing something particularly evil or reading something in the same category I tend to scare even people who know me relatively well. Upside? It really spooks the ones who want to try power plays or some other idiocy around me. *evil grin*

*grin* This is gonna be fun. Somehow, it already feels like it's going to be more satisfying than a lot of Buffy-SG1 crossovers I've read.

(Probably because of it feels like you're really trying to take the "chaos in a serious setting" aspect seriously without going crackfic and, as a result, it doesn't feel any more formulaic than it needs to be to satisfy the part about believability.)

All of a sudden I feel like 'mwhahahaha' ing. I think largely because I don't know who to feel sorry for. Xander, SG-1, Hammond, NID flunkies/cohorts/Mayborne, The Goa'uld, The Wriath, The replicators... or that SG universe's council. ... And the fact that Jack and Xander WILL eventually get along just bodes ill for all associated, involved, and just in general.

I do have a question, however, are you going to be giving us another side story that tells Xander's and Ethen's tale in the alternate universe? Or will we be getting that as chapters interspersed into this story?

My guess so far is that it's the latter, given that you've listed Stargate as a crossover. Unless Ethen Giles had some connection to it before the transfer.
