Review of chapter "Maybe it's the real world." from Mcspender
Review:
Nice to see Frank as a reasonably human bad guy, the kind of guys who get in the Game, but don't forget their basic humanity. That doesn't excuse his sins, but at least, when he dies, he can tell he did some good to pay back for his crimes.
Cool chapter, see ya!!
Comments from author:
Yes, Frank is more tragic than wicked... but that's the situation with a lot of people who make bad decisions... they find themselves up against the wall and they make the easy decision... in his case, with a wreck of a body, working for someone as a mercenary probably seemed like a good deal... a job and a restored body... He probably didn't care about the consequences... he had to realize things were too good to be true.

Glad you liked!

Another chapter of good clean fun. I wonder when Daniel is going to pull the ancients into things, or at least the discussion. Private like most likely, but still, that and getting their new turncoat off world...
Comments from author:
So glad you're having fun with it! Not sure about the Ancients... It's already an open secret that the team is something a bit 'unusual and I don't think they're going to reveal to the hunters what they are... The only reason they have any jurisdiction is that Connor might have been a threat to national security... and now, WRH has replaced him... So, Roberts as part of the SGC like... Teal'c? Hmmm... well, that's an intriguing idea.

On swearing--I figure Angel was on his best behavior when in Sunnydale, once out he relaxed a bit on speech. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. Gee, all the bad stuff about W&H, they're going to think Angel is the ultimate evil. Kind of funny. They know just enough to come to completely wrong conclusions. Then again taking over the LA branch was a really bad move.... that Angel did only to save Connor. Irony is everywhere here.
Connor is in for a shock when the truth comes out. If the spell breaks, does that mean Willow & Faith will remember him, too? Ouch.
Comments from author:
I'll go with that... I think that most of the cast speaks like most Americans, which can be quite profane, at least compared to what I grew up with. I just think they couldn't show that on TV, so they were careful what they 'captured' .

Yes, the stories about Wolfram and Hart. Poor Connor... Imagine what he's thinking about his dreams... Yes, of course, there's going to be misunderstanding. Misunderstanding and chaos and strangeness, Oh My! And of course, Roberts isn't feeling all that kindly disposed toward them, after all, they did try to kill him...

Connor isn't going to be the only one in for a shock. All sorts of people will be shocked and 'upset'. Should be fun!!

Don't remember Angel being that much of a potty mouth. Sort of expect it from Sam and Dean, but not Angel.

Other than that, great post. Looking forward to more soon.

Comments from author:
It's TV for Angel and cable for Stargate - therefore, Stargate had more leeway, language wise and nudity wise. Most of my work is R rated and I let people speak the way I think they would actually speak, and even though I'm a church mouse, most of my friends aren't.

I guess that I think an upset 250 year old vampire who used to hang out with whores and then was homeless in the streets of new york in the 70s through the 90s wouldn't be 'genteel'. I think he'd say whatever was on his mind. I don't plan for him to to swear all the time b/c no one does (other than people with something to prove).

Hope it wasn't too shocking! :-)

Oh yeah yeah I forgot. For some reason SPN and Angel had merged in my mind :)
Comments from author:
SPN and Angel as one show? That would have been pretty cool. For some reason SPN crosses better with the Buffyverse than any other supernatural show.

Interesting. I like the way this is going. So far you are balancing the two universes very well. !
Comments from author:
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. You do realize there are three universes, right? SPN, Angel and Stargate... Guess one of them isn't coming across? hmmm.

Review:
Well that was not what I was expecting. Rather amusing though. I'm not sure how reasonable all but one getting away is, but its not that big a deal. It could be two or three in there with SG1 without changing things much. Angel's quest to keep things hidden is of course doomed, and I somehow think that once he starts investigating so is the secrecy of SG1.

Of course that begs the question (new form rather than the older beggars the question) just what does wolf ram and heart think of alien invasions, would they support or oppose the SGC?
Comments from author:
Now, I'm dying of curiosity. What *were* you expecting? Glad you are enjoying it. As for the all but one getting away, it wasn't that SG-1 couldn't manage them... but remember, technically, they have 3 other prisoners already... Anyway, the wolfram and hart guys used magic to get their unconscious team members back. This doesn't occur to anyone b/c SG-1 isn't familiar with magic, and the hunters aren't expecting it from people like the commandos.

Angel attempting to keep Connor hidden from his friends is a stupid idea. I don't know what Angel was thinking. I think Angel's secrets are in much more jeopardy than SG-1's. We will see.

As for what WR&H think of the Ancients and other technologically advanced people's? Well, hey hate competition, don't they?

Review:
Daww, Papa Wolf and Connor Wolf Cub, they're sooo threateningly cute!!. They make my blood chill 'cause of da fear =D xD!!.

I really liked the way Hellen fought; I mean, the hunters were in the fight of their lives, but Hellen proves that you don't need to be a slayer to be a very fearsome female fighter, you just have to fight dirtier than the other guy... and yeah, always follow the golden rule: kick them in the nether regions xD!.

I found very funny, in a dark way, the meeting of two of the most stubborns Papa Wolfs in TV; both John and Angel are willing to do anything to protect their children, too bad they forgot that talking, and listening to their sons goes in the Dad package.
Cool chapter, see ya!!!
Comments from author:
Threateningly cute! Only you, Mc! hehe. Yes, there are a whole bunch of scary people in this story, aren't they? A lot of testosterone, even for Ellen.

I'll let you into a secret. Ellen's probably my favorite character from the series. I wish she'd really been Bobby's wife -- that's an alternate reality I could really get behind! No, she doesn't need to be a slayer to be damn tough. She's simply resourceful and determined and *ruthless*. I'm not huge with the 'kick em in the nuts' business, but the guy *was* trying to kill her.

Glad you saw the humor. Sometimes, I wish I were funnier, but alas, I am great at writing battle scenes, but not so much with comedy, alas. Sometimes I see it as funny, but no one else seems to get the humor. The thing about Buffy and to a lesser extent, Supernatural that I always enjoyed was the ability to laugh in the face of death.

There will be more to the confrontation with Angel and John. Not sure just how it's going to go just yet. The listening thing... yes, they really should try it.

Peace,

Blue

Angel vs. John Winchester? LOVE it!

And I'm seriously enjoying Jack and Connor's "bad cop/worst nightmare cop" routine being played out for the W&H mercenary's benefit. :)
Comments from author:
Thank you! I'm so glad.

Glad you like the Jack and Connor show. Connor has NO idea what he's capable of, but he instinctively channels some very bad stuff... Probably a *good* thing he doesn't remember precisely how dangerous he is.

Review:
Yeah, Connor is the one person Angel would do anything to protect. Anything. This is unlikely to end well. At least the slayers aren't involved in this yet. I could picture Faith showing up, investigating these rumors that Angel has gone bad & is working for Evil Inc.
Connor did pretty well in the fighting. If he had his memories back he'd do even better, of course. Won't be long before the Fang Gang finds out what's happening, probably.
Any chance you can weave the Amber Benson SPN vampire into this? Maybe an ancestor of Tara's, source of that 'demon blood in the family' rumor? Just wondering....
Comments from author:
Yes, Allen... again with all those fabulous thoughts that get my brain going. It's too early for all this thinking!!

Yes, Connor is Angel's obsession, Angel practically sold his soul for Connor to have a life. Nothing that disrupts this is going to be on the receiving end of anything good.

Don't worry, there will be slayers... but not for a while... I don't think Faith believes Angel is evil... but Giles is a whole different story and there are a lot of slayers out there who 'have never dated' Angel, some council indoctrinated.

When Connor finally gets his memories back... yes, he will be one hell of a fighter. He may also have some unwelcome memories.

As for Amber... We'll see. ;-)

Review:
Hmm, no-one wants to talk, on either side. A pity that they don't know it would arguably be better for everyone if they did. Except for maybe John Winchester who still wants to kill Connor. I can't see that going well for him. At least Angel's team are aware of Angel's prisoner though. Maybe they will break him out :)
As for the other prisoner, maybe Carter has some high tech truth telling device. That might still work?
Comments from author:
I usually like it when people talk... but I don't think that John Winchester wants to talk to anyone and I'm not sure Angel is in the mood to listen. John wants to prevent The Destroyer from being part of some evil event... Angel wants to protect Connor at all costs.

No, Angel will *not* take it kindly that this man had/has plans to kill his son. I'm thinking that if the AI gang breaks John Winchester out that bad things will happen *to* the AI gang.

No, I don't think that SG-1 is going to use classified technology on someone untrustworthy. Can you imagine what would happen if the information about something like that became common knowledge?
