With Buffy's luck, Ted Forrester (Death) will turn out to be Hank Summers. That would be kind of funny. She's going to build a rep quickly. Moving on, will she take contracts for shifters? Some deserve it, but there's a lot of anti-shifter prejudice, too...And, the sheriff gave her good advice on not using her name, Cayman Island (or some such) bank accounts, all that. One of the things she has going for her aside from super powers is, she doesn't look dangerous at all. Gender, height, youth all work for her on that. Wow. I don't think I've ever read a 'fic where she asked for, and will get, the Slayer Handbook. I bet it actually has useful info in it, too.

You'll have to wait and see on the Death/shifters' front. ^_^
I've always wanted to know what was in that book!

Awesome as always. Also: poor Giles. Good show. Can't some rotter bites cause the victim to rot? 'Cause that would be bad. She really needs that handbook. Also makes me wonder if Kendra or Faith ever slay these other lines, not being all hellmouth all the time.
Comments from author:
Thanks! (Giles is fun to torment!) I think so on the rotting-bites thing? *nods* Or an information pamphlet. *Something* informative, at any rate. Mmmm... It'd be hard to write Faith in, since she's incarcerated, after all. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

oh Buffy will gets her fight, can't wait for that. Leave it to Buffy to discover that soon that most vamps are still evil. Not all of them because hey there are always some rotten apples. Only she always find them sigh.
hope you'll update fast.
Comments from author:
Wonderful! That was exactly the reaction that I was hoping for!
*nods* Buffy often gets the things that she wants. They just rarely work out for her the way that she imagined that they would. And Buffy certainly has a way with the vamps. ^_^
Awesome, as usual. I loved the ending. Can't wait to see how Buffy rates against these "new" vamps. New Mexico,eh? Wonder who she will run into there...Edward maybe? More, please?
Comments from author:
Thanks! (I enjoyed leaving it there too!) I may have a bit more... ^_^ Thanks for reading and reviewing!

I am looking forward to when she makes it to JC's territory. I hope she will soon. Will there be a pairing in your story? The title makes me think that there will be something between Buffy and Asher and Jean Claude. I guess I will have to wait and see.
Comments from author:
Buffy will make it to JC's territory... eventually. As for whether or not there'll be a pairing... ^_^ Thanks for reading and reviewing!

As well written as Invigorating... and now I can't remember if I reviewed Invigorating, shall have to rectify that... anyways, the problem is that Willow would know. She gets into everything on the net, and if she didn't notice the huge headlines someone on her email list would have mentioned it in passing. And if Willow found out, then Buffy would know. And Buffy would have noticed the difference between Lothos and his brood and the other vamps. Then there is the whole Blood being needed to raise a vamp thing, which doesn't exist for the Antiaverse Vamps, and the fact that demons walk around the Buffyverse and are only fightable in the Anitaverse with faith, and the whole faith being needed for Holy symbols to work in the Anitaverse and not the Buffyverse and...
My problem (and it is MY problem, not yours as a good writer, nor anybody else's for being able to disbelieve) is I can't go suspend my disbelief as falls in the reality of the world(s) being used. That being said I will read the next chapter in the hopes of watching Buffy beat the crap out of something.
Comments from author:
I honestly don't think that any of the points you've raised is actually a problem with merging the two realities.
1.) Willow & the internet - explained in a later chapter 2.) Buffy *did* notice the difference between Angel/Spike/Dru and Lothos, all of which are from her own canon. She just didn't think on it overly as she didn't overly concern herself with Dru's thrall. 3.) I think you're mistaken about the lack of blood in the Anita-verse. It's been years since I've read the books, but as I remember it, Anita-verse vamps *originally* needed several bites and a blood exchange. Later, as the author apparently forgot about that, it was just the bite and blood exchange with a sufficiently old (and crazy) vampire. So, the blood thing isn't a huge hurdle. And, even if it was, there's nothing that says that one line (Buffy-style vamps) can't spread faster or in slightly different ways than the others (Anita-verse vamps). It actually helps that Lothos and Co were part of the Buffy continuity. 4.) The differences in demons - explained later 5.) Holy symbols - explained later
I'm sorry that you can't suspend your disbelief, but I honestly don't think blending the worlds is too difficult. I've definitely crossed more disparate universes. Anyway! Thanks for reading and commenting!
So, somebody in that vamp group has a human servant? Which will give her a fight with an enhanced human, ouch. But since this is post season 3, she's got lots of combat experience... Hopefully once that's done she'll know she needs to take the heads of the vamps? To get a kill, and to have proof of it, so she gets paid. * I agree, on reflection, that becoming an executioner wouldn't be too hard. It's a very dangerous job, not many people would want it, of those who did, not many would live, so there's probably a lot of vacancies. Agree on the whole 'territory' nonsense. Her traveling around in the small towns/areas, she'd be in high demand. Especially as she starts to get a rep (by getting her targets and not-dying). You probably don't want to go there, but wow. Imagine if she became some vamp's human servant with all 4 marks. Super Buffy. . Meanwhile, I hope a slayer can't become a lycanthrope, fighting one of those, it's easy to get bit or clawed up. Hm. And now, imagine the other vamps waking up that night, to find the 2 have been killed while they sleep. Probably won't be too happy.
Comments from author:
That's an interesting idea re the human servant factor.
Buffy definitely knows about the head and heart thing. She talked about it with Giles, after all. ^_^
I think that becoming and staying an executioner *should* be harder with lots of regulation and government oversight but I agree that it's really not hard in the Anita-verse for a lot of the reasons that you stated and because LKH doesn't really like to make Anita's life difficult (which is a pity.)
Starting Buffy out as a big fish in a bunch of little ponds seemed like a good idea to me. And it would seem that way to Giles too. Buffy, however, is oblivious to the benefits of that and going where the need/opportunities to slay are greatest. She's also oblivious to the rep thing. (Giles isn't, however. He is quietly despairing over the high probability of it happening. ^_^)
LOL - Super Buffy indeed!
And your last two points are really excellent! (And that's all that I should probably say about that.)
Thanks so much for your wonderfully thoughtful reviews! They're really nice to find in my in-box!

You have gotten the voices of the characters down so well. I can just imagine Buffy, Giles, Willow and Oz talking. I would love to know the reason behind the seemingly zones where the slayer can kill...I guess I'll have to be patient. I'm enjoying your new story and look forward to reading more.
Comments from author:
Thanks! Mmmm, there is an explanation for that later on. And I'm glad that you're enjoying this story. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
I have started this story hoping that it would be what I want in a buffy centered AB crossover. So Far I am liking this. I am hoping it stays interesting and I hope that it will get more so. Thanks for a AB Buffy crossover. I also was starting to think this site has become a Xander site. Glad to no that Buffy still gets written for.
Comments from author:
While I like this fic, I feel the need to warn you that it's a Wishlist Fic and so I won't get through the entire plot before I take a break from it. I'll post (sort of) what the requester wished to read and then come back and finish writing the fic later. It'll be left off at an okay point but it won't be finished until sometime in the new year.
If you'd like to read a completed, Buffy-centric Buffy/Anita Blake crossover by me, read Invigorating. It's finished and seemed well-received when I posted it. (I'm not a huge Xander fan so the chances of him taking over any of my fic are pretty much non-existent.)
Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Hopefully there'll be more with the explainy later... particularly why nobody on the Hellmouth knew about all this. Meanwhile, bad Watcher Giles. Should have tried harder to tell her there was something she needed to know. Oh well. Maybe he's under orders from the Council? Meanwhile. I'm very interested --- do the regular vamps know about the slayer. How about human governments. And all that. There likely isn't a 'except for Slayers' exception to the executing vampires is a crime rule. Not sure how she'll go about becoming a legal executioner. She's 18 now, right? But... Anita got 'grandfathered in', B. would likely have to take some courses, get a certification, who knows what else. But it should be fun watching her try. Hm. Is Angel the "master of the city" for LA? ....or more likely it's within the Hellmouth 100 mile radius, so not applicable. Buffy should definitely meet Edward, they'd make a great team.
Comments from author:
I'm not a big explain it all up front or in info-dumps sort of person. So, while there are explanations for all of that stuff, it won't be all in one place. Also, Buffy doesn't seem like the kind of character to really ask questions like that. Her intellectual curiosity lies in more, uh, physical directions, like how many vamps can I kill with a single crossbow bolt or can I do all of the special effects in this Asian movie without any of it being special effects. That sort of thing.
Anita was an executioner before all of that complete and utter nonsense about being 'grandfathered' into the U.S. Marshals. (That was just lazy writing on LKH's part.) But, from the bits and pieces Anita dropped about her own training, it seems to have been an apprenticeship thing with no courses, licenses or governmental oversight, really. (Which makes about as much sense as the government executing its tax-paying citizens out of hand... which is to say, none.) So while Buffy would certainly be interested in getting paid to do her sacred duty, I don't think it would be as hard a racket to get into as it really should be.
Angel is *not* a master of any city... no matter what he tells himself/other people. There are Buffy and Wolfram and Hart reasons for the lack of MotC in LA. (If I said more, it might ruin the plot point.)
Buffy and Edward would get along like a house on fire... assuming he didn't assassinate her for being non-human, of course.
Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Is this part of the "invigorating" universe? This sounds interesting but I recently re read invigorating and love the Asher-Buffy interaction! Then possible am addition of jean Claude?
Comments from author:
Nope, this is definitely *not* part of the Invigorating universe. (Invigorating's sequel would start with Buffy coming out of the desert.) And addition of Jean-Claude to which story? Anyway! Thanks for reading and reviewing!
