Love it! I can SO see Kaylee and Tony putting their heads and hands together to come up with some nifty, if gerry-rigged, new tech to up-grade 'Serenity's equipment.

Plus, I love that Finch capitalizes Buffy's title in his head -- "Most Frequent Number" -- and that Reese can tell just from her stance and the look in her eyes in the photo that she's seen a LOT of combat.

I can SO see Dom and Jack forming a pretty fast 'brother warriors' bond, like Jack and Teal'c had done, and I can picture Dom talking bikes with Sam, etc..

Plus, this feels very authentic to where Dom could've/would've been (in terms of relationships and perspective on the universe) following the first movie . . . especially if he'd run afoul of a couple of Goa'uld in Panama!

I know you're tired of hearing this, in all likelihood, but should you decide to write more in this vein, I'd be eager to read it.

In the end he may wish that he had let his questions remain unanswered! Wouldn't it be funny if Buffy ends up saving John during his surveillance of her :) Then he can return the favor if the new threat is something outside her experience.

Having accidently purchased this show, I eventually watched it, and it's really good. And you really captured the voice of the show, I think. I hope this continues as well; it is a great start to a story!
