For reasons totally beyond my understanding (but which may have something to do with Gwyneth Paltrow), I really like that movie. It'll be interesting to see how Sky Captain copes with dragons.

Review of chapter "Good, Bad -- We're the Ones with the Omnipotence" from AlbertG
Review:
Commentary time. The Q may be bored maybe even a bit indifferent. However, they have to know that this is a threat to them as well. As powerful as they are they can die and be destroyed and there's no way that, whoever the demonic leader is, hasn't taken in account the greater and ascended beings who are a definite threat to its plans. If the more powerful demonic entities are unable to be contained then the Q, Organians, Altereans, you-name-it, are going to be targeted for elimination. There can be only one absolute ruler and it can't allow the greater powers to interfere with its plans for total domination.

First of all I am enjoying the story. And you're right adding those little psycho bears may to much. On the other hand, with the story so far we don't really know. At this point we've seen everybody from SPARTANs to Wacky Racers but we haven really seen much of the enemy. Other than the gargoyles we don't really know what they look like or the vague number of forces sent through the portal so far. We don't really know their sizes or shapes. So we're seeing basically only one side of the story for the most part. The enemy has to know that something like Godzilla is waiting for them so what are their nightmare counter measures that he would have to face? I think in the beginning of the story it was stated that there could be up to 90% losses of personnel and materiel. So the crazy bears and their numbers may really be needed to stop maybe insect demons from overrunning all defenses with high losses of their own. I guess my point is will their be any POV of the enemy and what are they thinking? Who is their leader and how much in terms of resources do they really have? And most importantly are some of these things Lovecraft type entities that the Big G and others will have to DEAl with, for example? I can see many of the defenders going insane simply fighting these creatures. Or am I wrong?

They brought their own neutronium. That's all they need to sustain themselves for a reasonably long time.

Review of chapter "So...... It's a what, now ??" from (Recent Donor)Manchester
Review:
Hi there! If you’ve been reading my Code Ragnarok chapters known as “Escort Duty”, then you know my latest chapter is up. I set it out so that chapter can work as the ending, but I’d like to write something more. However, it involves using characters and settings you created for your own story for this series. May I use them as presented here? They’re as generic as possible, using only the information you’ve provided so far, which I hope won’t interfere with whatever other stories you may be planning. Please let me know as soon as you can, including any mistakes I might‘ve made about the Mechwarrior universe, if you give your permission!

Thank you,

Manchester

Edit: Thanks for your permission! Putting this on the site now.
Comments from author:
I'm planning to move most of the Regiment, hopefully starting in the next chapter, leaving the Gurkhas in charge . But I haven't moved them yet, and until I do it's logical that they would be patrolling around the base - therefore, there's no reason why they wouldn't notice the activities of your group. So as long as you don't write them into something I can't write them out of, feel free.

And I think you've got Crook's personality down pretty well.

PS. I don't actually know who owns the mechwarriors either, but I don't think they'll sue us

Review:
As a side note, perhaps our resident closet Muse here could write a little one-shot for the good General so he gets some divine gifts bestowed upon him by each of the gods present, in their own way of course...

(Okay, that was bad....get outta my head Aphrodite!!!)
Comments from author:
He's got their protection at the moment - but he might get a little more as a reward once all the fighting is over. I'll see what I can come up with for the 'aftermath' story ...

Excellent !. I always liked Aphrodite on the series, and this sounds exactly like her. Any plans to bring in Callisto ?
Comments from author:
Possibly as a cameo - but I haven't quite figured out how as yet, since by this time Xena has redeemed her soul from hell, and she's been reborn ...

On the other hand, as a goddess, she could time travel, so she may turn up anyway!

Review:
I could feel them all....each one of them.

From the moment this chapter began, the words conveyed the essence of Odin in all his wisdom and strength, all his millennia of experience and quiet authority suddenly given voice.

I knew the Goddess Aphrodite. The author of holy lust, of pleasure and euphoria granted to those she favors, and the terrible pain of its sudden revocation after having known only a taste.

I stood in the presence of Pallas Athenae and knew one with true power stood behind the countless potentates and heads of state along history's path. She holds the means by which nations rise and fall, and those who heed not her words become the chattel slaves of tyrants.

And Jack O'Neil, a mere mortal man, but one with the power to end the lives of other men with but a word, found himself a child again in the presence of true gods, a thrilling and yet comforting knowledge at once.

This chapter was the best one ever concerning the gods. I am in awe; are you sure you're not a closet Muse yourself?
