Why Vanguard-Shep instead of Soldier or Infiltrator-Shep?

Faith is mentioned to have biotic abilities in the one-shot that inspired all this; out of the three biotic classes, I think this describes her fairly well...

I am so excited for this! This is a wonderful beginning. Since you say you download the video walkthrough, I assume you haven't played it? I *highly* recommend all three games. The first two are even on sale for cheap right now at the Steam Winter Sale. Sorry, tangent over. Eagerly anticipating the next installment.

I had ME/ME2 for the 360 until I sold the console, and now have ME/ME2/ME3 for the PS3. My problem has been more the concept of trying to write while playing. Even if you turn on the captioning, you can't exactly roll back a few seconds if you want to listen to what someone just said another time or two.
