Hilarious series of events. No one ends up with the idiot ball since the conclusions are completely reasonable. A perfect case of mistakes in interpretation caused by having the wrong context.

LMAO. Yeah, I can see him being mistaken for Lucifer.
"I know how you feel. From the day I was born my fate was already made. All I am was dictated to me, All I do was predestined, I was destiny's whip boy and I had to like it. I had to follow a shrewd old man's vision. I thought then and there, when he told me that I had to die because he tells me to, that there was no other way, no other option but to do what he wanted me to do. What was I? Just a puppet for their amusement? I decided to rebel! I decided I want to be my own person. No one to shape me but myself. Some accuse me of betrayal but you get over that quickly."

Couldn't stop laughing on Xander's final comment. Wonder how Harry will show on Slaydar - and how it will be interpreted either way. I love a good comedy of errors, thank you and looking forward to more.
This is an absolutely hilarious misunderstanding. Of course, Harry's not doing anything to show he's NOT Lucifer either, nothing he has said, to anyone, wouldn't be true of either of them.
The thing is, different systems of magic are good at different things. Something that's impossible in one system is apprentice work in another and an Unforgivable Curse in a third. And they're usually not the same things. Obliviation is among the darkest of dark magics in the Buffy-verse, yet Potter-verse wizards throw it around like confetti at a party and consider it a neutral spell. I bet Harry knows all kinds of spells that are flatly impossible in the magical system the Scoobies are familiar with. He can certainly cast a lot faster than someone who needs rituals to work magic.
I can't wait to read more!
