Review of chapter "4. Back to Earth (Enter the SGC)" from RevDorothyL
Review:
Looking forward to seeing what SG1 will make of Sunnydale (and hoping, of course, that Xander will be able to sort out his memories, now that Giles has so ably explained what happened to knock him out so badly). Meanwhile, it'll be interesting to see if and when Faith is able to take a more active role in the story. At least Fred is getting something to eat! :)

Review:
Huh, pity they never got the Atlanta from the original 70's BSG, that had shitty computers and no jump but had FTL, shields and energy weapons, not to mention the Colonials were as strong as Buffy in our puny earth gravity.

I take it there was no BSG TV series, ever, in the Buffy universe? that's the feeling I'm getting anyway.

Review of chapter "4. Back to Earth (Enter the SGC)" from AlecMcDowell
Review:
Oh, it's Fred! How did I not understand that earlier? Very happy to see her show up she is my favorite from Angel. I like these two chapters quite a bit. The tension between Sharon and Cordelia is fun to see and I don't think either will be very happy with Xander once he wakes up and probably forces them both to calm down. Glad to see he's gaining back the future Helo memories as well, though.

Sharon's reactions here are interesting to see. I don't think it's occurred to her that she is not actually The Athena but a copy but I think once she does, having Xander as Helo and not entirely her actual husband will make things easier. If that makes sense.

It was fun to see so much of the world notice the Atlantia sitting in orbit as well- I wouldn't be surprised if that gets out into the public sphere with so many having noticed. Certainly the US and SGC are not going to be remaining alone for very long.

I have no idea how you're planning future relations between the two parties, either. On the one hand, the battlestar is centuries ahead of anything Earth can make. On the other, in some ways it's still behind the goa'uld. It's very useful, for sure, and I would think that with the extra powers their KEW's pack the Atlantia could take down an Apophis class Ha'tak one on one, but anything more than that... I think the Colonial FTL method is going to be a huge boon to everybody involved, as well- the only problem it has jumping long distances is computational power, if they can make a deal with hell even the Tollan for some tech trade that ship can probably increase its range exponentially. Hope to see more of this soon

Review:
Just thought of something, but Karl getting the Atlantia makes sense since it was his ship when he first got assigned to a ship. Now it would have been even more weird for everyone involved if it was the earliest version of the Galactica from the Blood and Chrome era (First Cylon War period.) The reason I said the Galactica as that was Karl's last assigned ship.

Review:
What kind of Battlestar is the Atlantia?

Back in chapter 3. The First Ripples, the author states that the Battlestar is a Mercury Class ship.

While this was occurring she also had to try and monitor local space, the planet, and the deserted interior of a -- Mercury class battlestar --. Worse the radio had just started to squawk at her.

Review:
Atleast they understand that they can't trust Earth's militiary forces, thats a start.
Xander needs to wake up fast.
Cordelia might want to ask dady for a little gift, if needed.

I always figured that the BioCylons their bones were made from diamond.
Basicaly a solid state brain simulating light processor system.
Certain diamonds can conduct electrical power, while most don't.
Look up liquid diamond, you need that process for such a creation process.

First things first, they need food and in large amounts.
After that they'll need seeds of all kinds and a place to plant them.
Looks like they will be quite bussy in the near future.
Atleast we know which computer system Jenny will use for her translation.

I have a question. What class of Battlestar is the Atlantia anyway? The series don't say or I miss it.

Good. Sooner or later, someone is going to recognize the general configuration of the ship. The results will be interesting.

Interesting premise. A bit surprised you did not use first-gen BSG, but that can come later. (Besides, they'd probably end up drawing the attention of the First way earlier if they did--the *Pegasus*, and all that..)

Review:
I really hope I am right in assuming Cordelia and her Cylons would more likely remain independent from Earth even if they assist in protecting the planet. While Cordelia may have turned into a fairly typical self-sacrificing in Angel series I just can't see the teen version not taking advantage of having a spaceship and powerful Centurion Cylons to make a profit while doing good. It would be easy for her to patent and sell small examples of advanced Cylon technology to obtain basic wealth by setting up a company, doing things in baby steps so she can maximize her profit and not appear decades ahead of everyone since that would raise awkward questions. Eventually move up to an asteroid mining operation for cheap raw resouces to build her technology and even sell on Earth valuable metals she does not need. Obviously the stargate network would interest her since she could build up a Cylon Civilization on an out of the way planet no one remembers or cares about, then of course there is the advanced alien technology the other Cylons would have to be interested in reverse-engineering.
