Review of chapter "Three little assassins of Taraka are we..." from (Current Donor)SamuraiCatFan
Review:
Wesley wises up quickly as to the "reality" of the Council. Good things should result from this. Assuming of course they get out of Boston alive.

Kakistos is going to be in for a rude awakening if he goes after Kendra. Even a vampire as old and powerful as Kakistos can be easily flambeyed by a capable sorcerer.

Enjoyable story.
Comments from author:
Kakistos is headed for Sunnydale, and the Second Slayer… And yes, Wesley is learning things, albeit at a cost.

Review:
Once I got past the initial scene where policewoman pulls a gun starteling a person used to melee combat at a range of considerably less than 7 yards and does NOT end up with broken bones the chapter was quite enjoyable.

I really liked the various Watchers POVs, especially Thomas, and the scene at the ice ring was well done (I really hope someone realizes the deal with Faith soon). However that initial scene makes me worry about how you'll handle the the gun-totting assasin.
Comments from author:
Anyone can be surprised and at this time Buffy was not trained to take on firearms, or to fight humans. And she quite often had to experience a situation in combat to be able to adapt to it. Her reactions in canon weren't that spectacular either.
And that she reacted this way now does not mean she will react the same way at a later time.

Glad you liked the Watchers and the division within. Buffy knows about ice and skating, even if combat wasn't part of her usual regimen.

As for the assasinations, next chapter should answer that.

Review:
Interesting chapter. I thought that you had already marshaled your forces on each coast but you are adding more. I figured "Tositos" and Trick were going to follow Faith as in cannon. And that the D&D group would bring Kendra to Sunnydale but now we get some rogue watchers thrown in, and from the liberal group to ally with Giles . And you seem to be giving Harmony and Oz parts which is good. And I really appreciate that you are using smart bad guys, Tarakan Assassins, Kakistos, and Du Lac. Looking forward to the fireworks.
Comments from author:
Thanks. Intelligence is key. The Gorch brothers might have been fun, but hardly a real threat...

This will be about the last of the groups, I think. There are no real Pevensies in this world to call upon.

Du Lac will be an interesting villain to write, I hope.

Ah, interesting. I wonder what the three former watchers will do now - and if Faith will be adopted by Joyce.
Comments from author:
Thanks. Head for Sunnydale. And create mayhem for the Council...

Faith will shy away from getting close to anybody. That will not help her. ;-)

Neat section, and really enjoyed seeing the assasin able to use her brain more than we usually did in Buffy, and will look forward to seeing what goes down next time with the gang and the next attack.
Comments from author:
Yes, if she'd waited, followed her home and then shot her? No one would have known... Dumbest assasination attempt ever.

I really do like this story. So glad to read a new chapter. I have a few questions but am only gonna ask one of them...WILL Buffy be ready for Lovegood? And is Lovegood an old potential? OK Sorry that was two questions but still.
Can't wait for the next update and hoping that we don't have to wait months.
Comments from author:
I think you mean Lovehard. (This will not be a Potter cross, osrry if that disappoints.) And yes, she is, and if Buffy isn;t, this will be a very sad story... :-( I shall do my best, but I have too many series and stories, I need to finish some...

So when that info gets out the Council might have a revolt on their hands.Good they deserve one and some new blood and new thinking would do them good.

Good story looking forward to your next chapter.

And Jason remember Cordy recently found out her father is stealing money from his investors and planning on running and I doubt she thinks he's taking his family with him.
Comments from author:
Indeed it might, and indeed they could...

Indeed, old man Chase seems to be thinking of Brazilian Beach Bunnies, not his wife and daughter.

Cordy is rich. Asking for money for babysitting seems highly unlikely. It should be like a favor
Comments from author:
Cordy has heard that her father's money is stolen, that he plans to run and he does not seem likely to drag along the ball and chain and the little ball and chain... But for now, she can claim both.

i know I`m dating myself but the First GI Joes had metal dog tags. I still have them .The Dog tags ,my GI Joe was lost a long time ago.
Comments from author:
I think we're all dating ourselves by writing and reading Buffy fanfic. ;-) If we were young, we would be embracing TWILIGHT!

I know, but by the time I came around they were down to plastic, and mostly with stickers you could write your name on on the other side...

Thanks for reviewing.

Review of chapter "What Price the Future?" from Cutiepie
Review:
So, I want to give you a useful review, but all I can think of are rather dumb things. Like, if DuLac is still alive, who was the dead guy in the hidden room? And so I guess I'll just tell you that I enjoyed it as usual, and that I will be watching for the next update of WHATEVER you choose to post. I haven't read a single thing you've written that I didn't apppreciate.
Comments from author:
Actually that was Du Lac, who wasn't quite as dead as they thought. I'll need to clarify that bit. So not a bad question at all. Glad you liked it, Nurse Pie. ;-)

Review:
Very good chapter (as expected ;) )

You gave the city two different names, though.

Appropriate handling of the "invisible assassins". All three.

Funny about Eric talking hate for his kingdom, but sending knowledge to help them. If they didn't have clerics to fix diseases, I would have advised some medical books. (Although he might have included a couple (Grey's Anatomy for one)

And the dreaded SHUBBERY question. Hilarious how they realize that those recruiter guys should NOT have access to their tests, ESCPECIALLY if the student does not.

DuLac being alive is a VERY BAD THING!

Patrice being up first was a complete surprise (to me. I missed the Teraka reference). Hopefully Spike will be forced to recall his contract like canon, otherwise the assassins would keep coming until they make the kill, or run out. Although, I'd think they'd raise the price after every failed trio.
Comments from author:
Thank you.

Did I? Ummm... It has a different name by Night? ;-)

Yes, there has to be justice and mercy. Eric was a paladin, even though he'd like to deny it...

Eric has been sending them books ever since Presto found a reliable way to get back there. He just isn't planning on going there himself.

Yes... Rewatching that scene was really worrying. Probably a very good thing Willow said no, isn't it?

Yes, I agree. Never have read him being used as a 'live villain'

Expect more changes... ;-)

Review of chapter "What Price the Future?" from ShalaDakiri
Review:
You know, I think the creep factor on the recruiting seen was probably heightened by including Marcie at the end of the last chapter and beginning of this one. There was probably a subconscious reminder that she'd been taken by men in suits.

Anyway, I think my favorite bit was Faith's realization that Diana's wish that she not become a Slayer wasn't a lack of confidence in Faith's abilities but rather a hope for her to live.
Comments from author:
Was it? It might have been, but not intentionally. I watched it as a reference, then re-read the screenplay and it totally sent my hackles up. Totally frightening.

Thank you. I wanted to show that Joyce wasn't the only motherly one around.

Thanks and thanks for reviewing
