Review:
Ha, they do make a fun pair, don't they? Hopefully Buffy and co. still manage to hold their own, though.
Comments from author:
They are amazingly fun to write. They have a limited goal so we'll see what the Scoobies manage to do.

Thanks and thanks for reviewing

Review:
Rereading first chapters. -- “S-Santa Claus gave it to me,” she confessed. -- Should probably be Father Christmas as both she and Spike are British.
Comments from author:
You're quite correct, it should be. Seeing as you re-read it, I assume you enjoyed it, too. ;-)

Review of chapter "Masters and Madmen" from war
Review:
Almost felt sorry for Cordy but she should have been more careful of what she says around Dawn. Should be fun seeing Joyces reaction.

Good story looking forward to your next chapter.
Comments from author:
One should always be careful what you say around children. They have the annoying habit of repeating what they hear, and asking questions at all the wrong times...

Cordelia isn't looking forward to it...

Review of chapter "Masters and Madmen" from dcarson
Review:
Enjoyed the chapter but it's been so long I'm going to have to reread the rest. Sigh, having to read good stuff.
Comments from author:
I'd apoligise, ( I do) but if you enjoy reading it, I'm also glad.

Thank God Dawnie wasn't there to ask 'What's a hormone?'...

Xander would have choked to death on his own tongue trying to swallow the witty comeback amidst his laughter...
Comments from author:
Ah, that would have been hard to explain.

If he'd made a witty comeback that was even slightly off-colour, Buffy would have ripped said tongue right out. ;-)

Review of chapter "Masters and Madmen" from Greywizard
Review:
OMG, I absolutely LOVE your ten-year-old Dawn!!!! ;-)

And I am really, really, REALLY looking forward to seeing Joyce's reaction when Dawn asks her exactly what 'putting out' means, and in exactly what circumstances that question developed. ;-)

Loving this whole story, as I believe I've said previously, and my only complaint is that I can't actually laugh out loud at some in the bits, since i often read this while at work and I'm sure my coworkers are already convinced I'm crazy. ;-)
Comments from author:
I found her amusing and endearing myself, so I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Cordelia is rather less happy about it, no doubt she's hoping her cheerleader training gives her sufficient stamina to outrun Joyce.

Glad you like it so much. You could of course read it at again home and laugh all you want. ;-)

Review:
I guess now we get to see what kind of man Giles is in this universe. nice Spike work. hopefully Buffy handles Faith better also.
great chapter, thanks
Comments from author:
Yes, we will. Glad you liked my Spike. I find the character an interesting mix between deep understanding of human nature and psychological foibles and sheer, raw, brutal violence.

Buffy has the major advantage that she's a lot less psychologically damaged. That might help.

Review:
this has been very good. of corse with you and a couple other author's all doing the same time frame I had to keep track of whose story I was reading at he moment. W-P Sr getting eaten by Kakistos was priceless. hoping to see Faith reunited with Dr D, that would be great too. looking forward to more. thanks
Comments from author:
Thanks. Yeah, I noticed that as well. But it’s good we’ve got so many people writing, eh?

Dr D will certainly be looking. (And bit different from how I portray her elsewhere.)

Review of chapter "Lies told to me" from starwolf
Review:
you know so far the only problem I have with this is its been so long since I saw the D&D cartoon the characters (other than presto) are kind of vague. what luck that Walmart online is selling the whole series for $5.00. so far this has been great. thanks
Comments from author:
Glad you like it. My problem is I have to borrow the series. I keep getting ‘not in stock’ reports from my usual sellers…

Review of chapter "Three little assassins of Taraka are we..." from (Recent Donor)SamuraiCatFan
Review:
Wesley wises up quickly as to the "reality" of the Council. Good things should result from this. Assuming of course they get out of Boston alive.

Kakistos is going to be in for a rude awakening if he goes after Kendra. Even a vampire as old and powerful as Kakistos can be easily flambeyed by a capable sorcerer.

Enjoyable story.
Comments from author:
Kakistos is headed for Sunnydale, and the Second Slayer… And yes, Wesley is learning things, albeit at a cost.

Review of chapter "Three little assassins of Taraka are we..." from unicornzvi
Review:
Once I got past the initial scene where policewoman pulls a gun starteling a person used to melee combat at a range of considerably less than 7 yards and does NOT end up with broken bones the chapter was quite enjoyable.

I really liked the various Watchers POVs, especially Thomas, and the scene at the ice ring was well done (I really hope someone realizes the deal with Faith soon). However that initial scene makes me worry about how you'll handle the the gun-totting assasin.
Comments from author:
Anyone can be surprised and at this time Buffy was not trained to take on firearms, or to fight humans. And she quite often had to experience a situation in combat to be able to adapt to it. Her reactions in canon weren't that spectacular either.
And that she reacted this way now does not mean she will react the same way at a later time.

Glad you liked the Watchers and the division within. Buffy knows about ice and skating, even if combat wasn't part of her usual regimen.

As for the assasinations, next chapter should answer that.
