Review of chapter "Justifiable Homicide" from Candle
Review:
Holy cow! This was just what I needed. I just finished watching season 1 of "Magnificent Seven" on DVD. This story was amazing and I would loooooove to see more of it! The interaction b/w the guys is hilarious and feels very true to the series. Again, I can't wait to read more.

Just wanted to drop a line saying how much I enjoyed this fic. I'd really like to see the rest of the guys reactions to Willow, and I love the by play between Willow and Chris. This is a great fic, and I sincerely hope that you get the chance to finish it someday.

Review of chapter "Jasmine Scented Love" from Ronneem
Review:
Again, a beautifully well crafted crossover of Willow and Chris. I've seen a lot of BtVS/M7 crossovers where the characters have to lose major parts of their fanon/canon presense to make the story work. But this one, with a moody, brooding Chris whose first born child was Willow works. And for Willow's true father to be Chris rather than Ira Rosenburg also works. It helps explain how the Rosenburgs could leave a child alone on the Hellmouth as much as they did. I truly enjoy every update and the way you've woven the two series together. Thank you.

Review:
Hehe-on re-review I realized how easily you can sneak the others into the next chapter-Josiah shopping for/with a friend, Buck for a "lady friend", JD shopping for Casey (is there a Casey in this AU? I thought you mentioned her in the bar scene...) Ezra-well, Ezra would adore spending Chris's money-as long as it wasn't early morning...maybe Rain on a quick coffee break sees Chris with a lovely young lady and mentions it to Nathan? Ah, the possibilities. Looking forward to more!
Comments from author:
Lots of possible combinations and outcomes for the next chapter, but you'll just have to wait and see. (Hint: Though you can look forward to some flirting from one of the boys, and some 'special' father-daughter bonding, in the way that only these two can). Bye for now.

Review of chapter "Jasmine Scented Love" from raven
Review:
A bit sappy, but needed to push the plot forward. :)

Overall, a nice scene, let her mourn for a few days, then start pushing a bit to force her to live again. I like that he bent the rules a bit-having recently planned a funeral when all the documents were allegedly in place before the death, I can sympathise with the red tape.

I did realize there was a little bumble from last chapter-

"Chris Larabee lost his wife and young son to a deliberate and brutal vampire attack, and in retaliation massacred most of the vampires in his town. A few years later, when he found out it was all due to an obsessed Master vampire who hadn’t wanted any competition for his affections, he hunted and killed every minion and childe of the Order of Oogonia.”

When I first read this I took it to mean that some master was either jealous of Chris or his relationship with his wife and chose to kill them to that end. But when I went back I realized it could be interpreted many ways-could there be some clarification in future chapters or even just an A/N as to what sort of competition/etc. for affections existed? Since this incident would be a turning point for this story? Sorry if I'm being obtuse, but it just seems to be a rather large incentive and as it somewhat parallels the current plot it seems rather important.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review.
I'll try to remember to add an A/N in the next chapter - or maybe do a quickie-interlude or something to explain it all.
I'm trying to stick fairly close to some of the plot from the TV series, which goes like this:
Chris Larabee came home a day late from a trip with Buck, to find his ranch burned to the ground, and his wife and son dead. Years later, Chris and the rest of the Seven find out that while the fire was a direct result of a man called Cletus Fowler, he was put up to it by an old flame of Chris', named Ella Gaines. Ella was so obsessed with Chris, believed so much that they were destined to be together, that she killed his wife and son because she saw them as competition.

See the parallels? I will try to explain it more as I go, but the general gist is the same.
Hope it helps.

Review of chapter "Revelations of Vengeance" from raven
Review:
Hehe-I always adored Giles and Anya fighting. "...no wonder the Watcher are in decline..."-nice one! Looking forward to seeing the boys reaction to Willow. Vin's was priceless!
Comments from author:
I was having a pissy night at work when I wrote most of that chapter - I think I was channeling my inner Anya through most of it. As for the rest of the boys, you'll have to wait a bit. I'm trying to get a few of them to pop into Chapter 11, but so far I'm stuck just before that point. I know how it's going to go, I just can't seem to work past the first part of the scene. It should work out soon, but in the mean time, enjoy Chapter 10 which is dripping in so much sap I almost drowned myself while writing it. ;)

Review of chapter "Revelations of Vengeance" from tremerid
Review:
Very good story so far! :) It's been a while since ive been here, but I really enjoyed this one, and I hope to see more soon. I've never seen an M7/Btvs crossover before, and frankly, never watched m7 either, but so far, you have got my interest peaked. Keep it up, and don't let anyone tell you that you arent a good writer!

Comments from author:
Thanks so much for the encouragement. I've personally only seen one other BtVS/M7 Xover, and I just couldn't make myself get past the first few pages, so I can't really comment on it. The next few chapters should be interesting, because I might actually find a way to add *gasp* a PLOT!! WOW! What a concept, huh? :) Anyways, in the meantime, have fun with Chapter 10.

Wow!! I've never actually seen the Magnificent Seven movie or TV show, but I've read about them through other crossovers... I love the concept of this story, and you've done an excellent job of showing the personalities of each of the characters without actually explaining them... If you know what I mean. Well done!! Can't wait to see what happens next!
Comments from author:
Thanks bunches. I'm writing this from the perspective that about 97% of the people who read this fic haven't seen either the movie(s) or the show, so I'm trying to explain as I go, without overloading you guys with massive facts. Hope it's working out that way, and I'm not confusing anyone. Enjoy.

Review:
First of all... gotta cheer the Anya... I very rarely like her in fic... I loved the way she came off in chapter 9... all protect Willow from being stolen and used/hurt until she realized that Larabee was there to protect Willow too. That was so ... well, darn... cute. I can just see her standing up to Larabee and trying not to back down against his infernal glare. :-D

Secondly, the panicked Vin while dealing with a crying female... ::snicker:: Great use of cannon/fannon portrayal of him. As well as a very nice Willow babble.

I am so enjoying this. I really like this crossover. ::raises hand:: Big fan of M7 here. Big fan of BtVS too.. just haven't seen enough of the seasons. Love your portrayals and your weaving of the stories together.

Review of chapter "Reunification Day" from raven
Review:
Hmm...I think the fear inspiring words are actually "Oh dear lord." But close enough. This may not have occurred the way you invisioned it, but it did come across true to the characters. Although I do have to protest hiding Larabee's gorgeous eyes. Meanie. I like the little teasers you are hiding-subtly catching readers more familiar with one side then the other up on what we have missed. Well done! And since I have my own little drive in a couple of hours (goodie-sun's about to come up...) better go raid the Easter candy, again.

Wow! Powerful start to your story. I can't wait to read more and see how you are going to tie the M7 and Willow together. I really liked M7 and am glad to read that there is still a thriving fandom for the series.
