Review of chapter "Every Time I Pass a Wheat Field" from storylistener
Review:
This was a wonderful story. I wonder how everyone would react to Asher? Will Xander and ASher meet again face to face now? I'd love to see that in another story. GOOD JOB!!

I don't know much about Asher or Anita Blake. And I don't usually like slash or at least fluffy slash but I liked this, it was very sweet.

Review:
I absolutely love this story. In fact, it's one of my top ten all time favorite fan-fics. So well written, believably in character, and just so wonderfully good. I've read it and reread it many times, and even though I doubt you'll do it, I can't help but hold out hope for a sequel. :) Thanks for sharing this terrific fic.

Review:
This was a wonderful fic, even if the end did seem to be abrupt. Are you planing of doing anything further with it? I hope so, because this is a wonderful blending of the two worlds that you have written and I hope to see it continued.

Review:
Ok, Just so you know I thought the story was amazing. But the ending was far to abrupt, we need more details the end was just awful. Though I thought Jean-Claude was extremely out of character. he would never be so Childish, he'd be sad but happy for Asher. I don't know if this came out before Danse Macabre but it would have been awesome if Asher's abilities to call Were-hyenas came into play. But all in all I loved the story I hope you continue to write so well.

I absolutely loved this story. I know that your not planing on doing a sequel, but really thats just a tragedy. You captured a young Xander so well I would love to see how this older and more mature version would fit with Asher. I really hope you change your mind about that sequel.

You know this is an awesome story, you should really think about making a sequel to it.
Comments from author:
Thanks. You know, I've thought, and thought, and thought, and just can't come up with a follow-up plot that would do it justice. hrm.

Review:
Hi. I love the story and wanted to see if you would make a sequel to it. Cause I would love to find out if Xander went to St. Louis and what happened if he did. And how things would turn out with Asher. That would be real cool.

Review:
*pouts* I really did not like how this ended. I mean no insult to you as the author but I think that when I started reading this, I expected more to happen when we got back to the future. I absolutely loved the story though. The interaction between Asher and Xander was incredible, and especially between Xander and the rest of the Anita Blake crowd. I loved everyone's portrayal, and they didn't seem at all out of character (more specifically, Xander, since I have not read any Anita Blake books). I saw on one of the replies to another review that you have no intention of writing a sequel, and that is a very sad thought, indeed. If I had any passable talent as a fiction writer, I would, myself, write a sequel. But, alas, I do not, so I'll have to settle for my theories of Xander and Asher's reunification and the knock-down-drag-out between Xander and Narcissus, who really needs to be put in his/her place, and who better to do so than the ex-possessed host of an alpha of the pack! *grins*
Comments from author:
Ah, see maybe this is why I don't write a sequel...
If I were to write a sequel, it probably wouldn't take place in St. Louis, and therefore Narcissus would not be present. However, I think a lot of people reading it would expect Narcissus to show up, and I'd feel bad about letting y'all down. Therefore, you're probably better off with your own imagination. Still, I'm really glad that you liked my story enough to ask for a sequel. That means a lot, thanks.
