Review:
Gotta say - WOW! This was such a good chapter.
I loved Buffy making Aragorn solve his own damn problems ~ duh! let's ask the girl we have some feelings for and know she at least once reciprocated how to repair your relationship with the family of your fiancee. Good Plan! Grrrr. At this point I may have to resign my membership in the Die, Denethor, Die Club in protest. Please let Aragorn grow up a little. I know he has a ways to go, but at least by the beginning of FotR he's mature enough to only be mopey?dopey? when he's actually with Arwen or confronted by the kingship directly. (I know he has 34 years, but still. It has to be incremental to be real.) Does B's injury help that process at least a little? Because at this rate I don't see her having much of a chance against Arwen's hold on King Dinglehopper. And I'm glad to see that the elves are in character in their reluctant acceptance of Arwen's right to choose and utter loathing for the possibility of her remaining. I also liked Galadriel's mini-lecture to Buffy. Yes, she's full up with pain and bitterness and disappointment, but she doesn't need to take it out on anyone else.
Also loved that you sent her to Rohan (Theoden gets a part, yay! Thank you!) and let her fit in a bit. That may help her mend her heart a little, but I wish she'd at least have a fling with someone and soothe the worst of her pain. I think it might bring Aragorn around a bit as well. Will she be around long enough/return eventually to have some effect on Eowyn's worldview? That would be an excellent backstory linkage, even if it's just the legend of Buffy as told by (Drink and dance Action Figure!) Rohirrim.
And what's with the demon thing anyway? Is it a warg? I didn't think they were that smart. Is it part of the orc/goblin/beasty mix that went into the Uruk Hai? Was that what she was sent to guard against and did Galadriel know it was stronger than B?
I can't wait for the next chapter!

Well, I found this update here first, so I'll review right now. After the misery of last chapter, I've got to say that my heart was all ready to be shredded again. But in a pleasant turn, it was only yanked about a few times. I certainly didn't see Theodred's affection for Buffy. Which I am assuming at the moment is a momentary thing. If more comes of it, I would be interested to see it. I think Buffy could easily be the role model that leads Eowyn to the way of life she yearns for. If nothing else happens, I wouldn't cry over it. Now, in the movies, I always complained over Elrond's harsh seeming treatment of Arwen when she made her choice to wed Aragorn known. But from my mortal point of view, I don't think I could compare anything. But from the viewpoint of a parent, I can certainly entertain his entreaties to keep his chil from knowingly embracing death. It's what I would do. Every dang thing in my power to prevent it. And I was glad to see the stance Buffy took when Aragorn came to her for advice.
I was very intrigued by the dream sequence. I recognized a good many of the quotes and it was fun remembering the context they were first used in on the show. And then wondering what context they would be put to use in this story. I am eagerly awaiting seeing how this will unfold. And am I right that the creature she faced was a warg? From your description, that's what I believed. I think I'll go back and read it again.
In all a very gentle, well told, rounded out chapter. It didn't focus too heavily on a specific character for too long. Which, after the heaviness and despair of the last chapter was very welcome. Great job sweetie!

INteresting! I generally avoid crossovers of this genre, but something in the title caught me. I'm glad I did! Good beginning, good introduction; just a few grammatical issues, but nothing distracting, which is good. Overall, nicely done....thanx for writing!
