Stories like this remind me why I go back and re-read your work so often. I would put in everything that made me laugh but that would just be copying most of the story. Excellent job.

Questions:

Buffy gets out with a nothing and pulls a purse, a backpack and a trunk from the back of the truck? Then the purse and backpack appear/disappear at will? Not sure about that. Unless that was a typo (backpack is actually a large purse that looks like a backpack) why not stick to a backpack full of geek bribes and a trunk for her? Just seems a bit fumbly in an otherwise well-crafted story.

Clever, unusual, and very well executed. An engaging read, with nicely characterized Jack and Buffy. I can see poor Daniel getting mobbed and Buffy's reaction to being offered the position was spot on. Thanks for this delightful fic.
