It was nice to get closure on this. I enjoyed the ghosts of the past coming back, but might have to go reread some old AB books to jog my memory of what Noah was like. Thanks for a fun read.
There were a couple of homophone typos in the last two chapters - things like "discrete" instead of "discreet".
Fascinating story. Is it going to be completely from Zerbrowski's point of view, or are their going to be some from Dawn? I'm dying to know what goes on when he's not around. I love the interaction between Dawn and Nathaniel. Of course, that's probably because Nathaniel's my favorite AB character. You've really developed Zerbrowski's character. It's definitely impressive.
My only worry is that Dawn acts so very submissive. In the show, she was always such a little firecracker. It was one of the things I liked most about her; she never took crap from anyone. I also hope that she and Buffy make up soon. The Buffy/Dawn sister bond was so strong during season 7, that I can't imagine the Buffster being angry at Dawn for too long. Anyways, it's a great story and I hope you update soon!
I really enjoy how you're portraying the characters and the story - it's not fluffy perfect life, and not everyone gets along well. Your characterizations are well done, though I'm not entirely sold on Buffy giving Dawn the cold shoulder because of Corey. That said, I guess we don't know the whole story yet about that either.
I'm definitely looking forward to reading more!

That was amazing! Really! Characters are really well written, and even the conditions rock. I mean, Buffy pulling a Scooby? That was good. And when I say Scooby, I mean, she's doing to Dawn what Dawn (and the others) did to her when they kicked her out. Now, don't think I hate Dawn, because I do, and I like the Scoobies also, though not as much, but when they kicked Buffy out, I was very angry at Dawn, and I really hated the Scoobs at that particular moment. Mostly Giles and Anya. Because what was the mistake she did? She didn't do a proper recon. That said, she was right about everything else. And I don't know you, but I don't remember them apologize when she came back and saved their asses. And Xander is right about Buffy's forgiveness. If it had been me, I would have left them to rot. (Even Dawn, and she's my favorite character).
Review of chapter "Eleven: Protecting" from CheleSedai

For love of Mike, update, please!
Seriously though, I am loving this story. I have not found many (read: about two) stories that actually manage to make AB and BtVS work together, and I'm so glad I found yours. I know that RL takes precedence, but I did want to write and let you know that I like this story. I like that you chose Zebrowski as the protagonist, and I like how the mysteries behind Dawn in St. Louis are still unraveling.
Keep up the good work.
Comments from author:
Don't worry, the penultimate chapter is stewing on the back burner. The FFA took my attention for a bit, but I'm winding down there. This and my other BtVS/AB xover are to be updated soon. Thanks for your review.
I am curious: What's this other story you're talking about? I love getting fic recs. Pls email me at my user name at gmail.com :)

Review of chapter "Eleven: Protecting" from houses
Review:
[blushes] bad houses, should have reviewed before now. In my defense, I missed apparently something like six chapters of updates.
What a fantastic crossover idea. Once again, am loving your Zebrowski. He's so...real. Three dimensional and flawed, you can see the real person under the character. Dawn and Anita are nice too- fairly treated on both accounts. I'm intruiged at how you've set this crossover up. While I'll never be completely comfortable with them existing in the same plane, this is a painless way to integrate them. Your seams are practically non existent. Liked the arrival of Xander. Have to admit I was wondering where her Scoobies were- that they would abandon her seems illogical. I'm very much looking forward to seeing where you take this.
Nice to see Xander making an appearance. Anyway, great story, and a great new chapter.

Review of chapter "Eleven: Protecting" from CPTSkip
Review:
Your's is a lovely story. I am totally impressed at your complete grasp of the characters and how real their emotional reactions seem. This story may not have much slam-bam action so far, but it has great heart. Thank you for continuing to write it.

Oh, poor Dawnie! I really think they need Micah's help for this, considering he's the nimir-raj. So Anita 'consorts' with the police - so what? If it helps the pard in the long run... All things considered, though, I think Dawn is managing quite well. Man, if this (completely unlikely in the real world) ever happened to me, I'd be freaking out about it. Please write more soon, loadsa love, Zira
