Well...this is different, to say the least, but it's remarkably good!

I liked the way this story was going, but for one VERY sour note: That scene with Buffy talking about her new "toy", and Xanders scathing tone of voice. Buffy's not unreasonable about the risks of weaponry, and Xander knows this. If told in a reasonable manner, she wouldn't have pushed; the tone you describe is very uncalled for, unless you're setting Willow and Xander to become more 'needed' than Buffy.

I like seeing stories where Xander gets a better chance to fight, but it need not be at the cost of Buffy's position as the leader and heavy hitter. Outside of that I loved this chapter.

METROID!!! I loved that game, one of the best things Nintendo has ever put out. And X as Marcus Knight and a potential X/W hookup... And we can't forget about Willow's partial transformation into Blood Rayne and her "improvements". Can't wait to see where you take this. :)
