To have Buffy actually BE smarter than she looks is a great selling point to any story.

To have her be that smart AND an ancient Immortal is even better.

This looks like an interesting beginning. It would be better with a middle and an end. HInt hint. I like it so far, even though secrets are coming out without very much reaction from the mortals learning about all this stuff. (I do so love shocking meer mortals LOL even though I am one of them.) Please continue this story. I am really fascinated by this challenge because it combines my 3 favorite characters, but most of the stories are incomplete. I would love to see what happens with Buffy wanting to join SGC...oh, the trouble they can cause together. I also have to say that I'd love to see the development of the relationship between Jack and Buffy (I am so not a B/A fan). :)
