Another touching chapter. The emotions you have written here are very vivid and believable. I eagerly await a new installment and if Buffy will reveal to Raphael who and what she is? Can he save her?

Excellent story idea. I love AB and Buffy xovers but usually they don't feature Buffy. Two very interesting characters, I am anxious to see where this leads, I can think of some threads you left in your other story Mind The Gap where you might tie Buffy into St. Louis. Very well written, the imagery in the Church was lovely.

I am so glad to see you adding more to this story. I loved the first part, the meeting between Rafael and Buffy and was so hoping you'd develop it more. I like the pairing very much, love the way they relate to each other, the connection, the definite passion sparking, and the tenderness not too far from the surface. They both share the need to connect with someone, I like the idea of them connecting with each other. Loved the appearances of Rafael's bodyguards and Buffy's instinctive reaction to them, and the way they reacted to her was well done. I am hoping that Rafael and Buffy manage to find some happiness. I am looking forward to reading more.

I adore this. I've said before, I think, but I do. So much so. This is darker, more sensual compared to MtG, but... I don't usually like Buffy, not after season 2, but you've made me like her, in this, so much. You made me feel sorry for her, and hope that those two would work it out, somehow. I certainly hope she tells Rafael what she does for a living, who she is. She certainly can't hide her identity forever, and I think she underestimates Rafael. Maybe in him knowing, they would work out better, because in him knowing what she is, who she is, he might feel like less of a monster, that maybe in what she does, she would be able to accept what they are, together.
Your Buffy was strong without being overbearing, caring. You show a side of her that many a fanfic writer either over-exaggerates, or leaves out completely. You've made her human with feelings, you made her hurt and care. And Rafael... so beautiful. You've captured a soul for him that I never really managed to grasp from reading the books. Rafael is so hurt, has been so hurt and maybe he's a little like Richard, in that. In what he thinks of what he is. Though not so destructive.
I really enjoyed this, very much so and can't wait for the next part.

I suppose virtually stomping my foot and demanding more "right now" like a spoiled child would be a bit rude, so I'll settle for telling you how marvelous a job you have done thus far. Rafael is one of my favorite AB characters and I absolutely love the way you're writing him. Buffy is an interesting choice, pairing wise, and I can't wait to see where this all leads.
Wonderful job.

This story is so...I guess "provocative" is the only word I can think of to describe it. Wow. I'm on the edge of my seat, and only one chapter in. I don't think I've ever read a Rafael-centric fic before, but you've already managed to make him come alive. I can't wait to see what develops between them.

I love it - though Buffy is making me so very nervous, with the not-mentioning-being-a-Slayer thing. I'm not complaining, really, she's entirely in-character, you're doing a good job - you're just doing such a good job that I'm all engrossed and wanting to scream at her. That's a compliment. Really. I think it's probably not coming out like one, but it is.

Comments from author:
It's good that Buffy's making you nervous. You picked up on a to-be-coming plot point... Buffy tells Rafael not to hide things from her, but then does it herself? Not good for our heroine :)
I like this pairing -- I can see Rafael being emotionally supportive for Buffy similar to the way Micah supports Anita. I don't know if you plan to take it beyond a one-nighter, but it's a lovely story so far.
Comments from author:
This will be a long(er) story, not just the one-nighter. Our next chapter will open the next morning, when, as per usual, reality comes back with a jarring crash.
