I like your interaction between Dawn and Tara. :-) Also Spike's and Dawn's rejection of the bot. It would be bad if Nathaniel comes to visit, as there are secrets to protect in Sunnydale, especially as he wouldn't come alone. Will Dawn ask Spike to get along with her to visit Nathaniel? I look forward for Dawn contact Nathaniel.

This story is so original (well, as original as fanfiction can be) and, like all your work, is very well written. You're being really faithful to that time period in the series but putting a whole new twist on it. I'd say this was my favourite of your stories if I didn't love Candlelight so much. I look forward to reading more.
This is one outstanding Dawn story. I love how you show us how she is hurting and just how messed up her life is. Your Dawn/Tara realationship is also wonderful. I sure missed Tara the last season. I hope Dawn does call her cousin Nathaniel, even if it hurts. And I hope he comes to visit her. I also hope you write more to this very bitter-sweet story.
What a touching continuation to Obituary. Dawn's inner turmoil and distress was very well written. I just wanted to give her a huge hug. Tara was splendid, behaving just as I would have imagined from the series. She's such a lovely character and I hated to see her so abused in canon. I'm eagerly anticipating more of this tale,

Strictly speaking a lycanthrope is a werewolf only. I can't remember if Hamilton uses it generally though, so Dawn's use of the word might be in keeping with that canon.
Other than that, this looks like the beginning of a great story.

LKH has used the term "lycanthrope" to refer to all of the were-folk, so I'm going off that definition of the term. It's just easier for my poor brain that way :)
