Since there is going to be absolutely no sequel to this story I just wanted to say thanks for an excellent tale. It read like a really good episode of The Pretender. The Buffy and NCISverses meshed in nicely. I'm a little concerned about what Jarod did with all Miss Parker's beautiful designer shoes, they must be worth a fortune.
Now that was enjoyable. And you even brought out one of my favorite tv boyfriends. I don't watch NCIS much but it seemed like they caught on a little quick. Is there a history of people not being who they say they are on that show? That would explain the early questions and discovery. Otherwise, you did a lovely job on the half-mute Oz and everything made sense. If you'll excuse me, I have a sudden urge to purchase sneakers...
I don't have any complaints about the no sequel part. Though, I did think that my "In His Lady's Service" would never have a sequel, yet here I am working on number 3. So... if you ever decide some year down the road to make one, I'll be glad to read and review.

It makes sense that Jarod would accept magic easily. He's trained to adapt. That and the fact that he's always tried to experience things that he never got to as a child
